22nd February 2026 marked 100 years of World Thinking Day!

Tonight we gave out these special badges and activities on friendship - this year's World Thinking Day theme.

All of our Cheswardine members have been challenged to do 100 of something as a fundraiser.

So far:
One has read 100 pages a day in half term
One has planned to swim 100 lengths and bake 100 biscuits
And a crazy leader has decided to do 100 challenges in 100 days

What a great first night back! Was great to welcome several new members today! They fitted in really well and loved making personalised headbands and playing some games.

It is not too late to join us this year - please feel free to get in touch or register an enquiry through the Girlguiding website. Next week it is Roald Dahl theme night!

We are back from a wonderful camp at Patshull Activity Centre, organised by Girlguiding Shropshire. From craft, storytelling, campfires and disco to blindfold trails, archery, axe throwing, pond dipping, dam building and obstacle courses - we have done it all!

More photos to come soon, but for now, it is rest before we start our new term on Monday 8th Sept (email to be sent in the next couple of days)

Its not long until the Hinstock Party in the Park!! The line up keeps getting better and better!
We will have a stall for a few hours in the afternoon with homemade bakes, crafts made by our young members, our lucky dip and maybe a few other surprises too!
Please come along and support a lovely village initiative, but also fundraise for us :)

Reminder that there is NO session tonight (2nd June) as most young members are off school today.
Look forward to seeing you all next week!!
