B Lab has confirmed updated requirements strengthening expectations around climate action planning for Certified B Corporations.

The direction is clear. Climate commitments must now be measurable, time-bound and publicly transparent.

For many organisations, this means:

- A defined carbon footprint baseline
- Clear reduction targets
- A structured climate action plan
- Governance oversight and accountability

This reflects a wider shift we’re seeing across procurement and investor conversations. Environmental credibility now requires data and documented progress, not general statements of intent.

If you’re reviewing your B Corp position, or considering certification, it may be time to sense-check whether your current climate plan would withstand scrutiny.
