Slightly damp 🌧️ but all having fun!

Activities today: archery 🏹, crossbow, tomahawk throwing 🪓, canoeing 🛶, zorbs, laser tag, fencing 🤺, inflatables, cave pod.

Tonight: camp fire 🔥 silent disco 🪩!

Today’s competitions:
Volleyball 🏐 lost in the first round to 8th Pen.
Tug of War 🪢 came 2nd only to be beaten by 5th Pen in the finals!

The Beavers had an exciting visit from Lancashire Police, where they got to sit inside a real police car and explore the flashing lights and sirens. They learned about the different equipment officers carry, such as handcuffs, radios, and protective gear, and how it is used to help keep people safe. The officers also explained how arrests are made and talked about when and how to call the police in an emergency. The Beavers discovered the many ways the police support and protect the local community every day.

What a fun night we had at the chess competition against 8th Pen. Lots of concentration and strategy. Despite a close competition with both groups winning 2 of the 4 rounds, 8th Pen clinched the win and lift the trophy this year. Will be back next winter with another few training sessions to challenge them for the win next year! Well done everyone and thanks to the leaders who gave up extra time to make this happen for our young people!
