Many thanks to Coco's Whippy for visiting the last meeting of the term for 5th Penwortham Guides. They stepped in at very short notice to save the evening when another company cancelled. The Guides highly recommend the ice creams!

Our Guides are not competitive at all!! Ha Ha. Challenged to make the longest possible paper chain in 20 minutes, team work and a desire to better the other two teams kicked in. We had trouble getting them to stop so we could end our meeting. We now have plenty of chains to add faces to next week as we create caterpillars for our float. Don't forget to look out for them on Saturday 13th June.

The young members of our Guiding District have been busy today creating resources to decorate our float for the Penwortham Gala and linked cakes and badges to take home with them. I wonder if you can guess our theme from these photos. We are very fortunate that GOS Services are providing our float this year and left it with us today so we could plan and check sizes, etc ( Thank you it really helped). . All the young members at today's event were able to climb on board and practise waving. They were disappointed that we couldn't go for a drive but are really excited for the Gala on Saturday 13th June.

We also have a PR stand on Hurst Grange Park where you can learn about how to join your local units as young members and volunteers. We look forward to meeting you.
