☆We are very lucky to have our amazing volunteer Stephen Riddell. He has been busy refurbishing donated bikes,making sure they are safe and road worthy before given away to members of the local community.

Thanks to his hard work we have another 3 bikes out in the last week .

😁 What a great night we had at the Borders Community Action volunteer awards night!

🥂 We couldn't do what we do without our fantastic volunteers so it was lovely to devote an evening to celebrating them!

⚽🏒🥌🚴🏼‍♀️We love the sports zone at YouthBeatz Dumfries! We have a few places left on this trip (Saturday and Sunday) so let us know if you fancy coming along!

For Youth Beatz 2026, we will be introducing our Sports Zone made possible through funding from the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Fund!

The energetic and inclusive space will give young people and families the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sporting activites free of charge.

Activites will include:

🥌 Curling
🧗🏻Climbing Wall
❄️ Ice Sports
🚴🏻‍♀️ Mountain Biking
⬆️ High Ropes Course
💥 Laser Quest

⚽️ Also, to celebrate Scotland's participation in this year's World Cup, our partners at Let’s Get Sporty are bringing a football themed World Cup area complete with mini tournaments, bounce games and plenty of fun football themed actvities and challenges!

As we continue our celebrations of the amazing volunteers across the Scottish Borders during Volunteers’ Week, we are looking forward to welcoming nominated volunteers from organisations not only in Duns and District, but from across the Borders, to Duns Volunteer Hall this evening for a special celebration.

This event is an opportunity to come together and recognise the time, dedication and impact of volunteers across the Scottish Borders, bringing people together from communities right across the region.

The evening will be informal, with good food, shared stories and inspiring moments, finishing in true Borders style with a lively ceilidh.

Special thanks to the Blackhill Windfarm Community Fund for funding this special night.
