We are very saddened to hear of the recent passing of club stalwart, Tam Rankin. Tam was an accomplished and widely respected drummer and a great supporter of many local Box and Fiddle Clubs, including Peebles. He'll be sadly missed.

Today's the day! Escape Storm Dave and pop along to Peebles Rugby Club, where Derek Edmond will be kicking up his own storm with his 5-piece band. Club begins at 1.30pm. All welcome.

Thank you to all of the players who joined us yesterday at our club afternoon, as well as our wonderful audience! Here's a wee clip taken during one of our stramash sets.

Our next (and last of this season) meeting is Sunday 5th April, when we'll welcome Derek Edmond and his Scottish Dance Band.

If you enjoy playing (or just listening) to traditional Scottish Music, please pop along - All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged.

To those players and listeners further afield that like our posts and videos - Peebles is a fine day out with some braw cafes and restaurants so why not make a day of it? The X62 Bus (Edinburgh to Galashiels) stops right outside the Rugby Club.

We enjoyed an excellent afternoon of music yesterday from Colin Dewar and his Band: Alasdair Macleod on 2nd Box, Jim Nicol on Piano and Nicky McMichan on Drums. A fine selection of music indeed!

Thank you to all the supporting musicians that came along and gave us a few tunes at our last club day 4th of January 2025. Our guest Artist, Frank Morrison Scottish Dance Band were brilliant as always. With Frank Morrison on lead accordion, Ian Graham on second box, June Meikle on fiddle, Billy Goodfellow on drums, Ruth Rintoul on Bass and Alex Graham on piano, they entertained us with a variety of sets throughout the day.
We are back on the 1st of February 2026 with Colin Dewar Scottish Dance band. We hope so see as many of you as possible 🎶🎵
