Many local folk will know Callant and Gutterbluid Drew Fraser.
For 45 years Drew has been entertaining Callants at their annual supper with his poems and songs. The club are delighted to have put these together in a booklet and Callants were each given a copy at this year's supper.
There are some booklets available to the general public which will be available to purchase from Whitie's books priced at £5

A great turnout from the Callants on Sunday for our annual Beltane High Street cleanup, working our way from Tweed Bridge all the way up the High Street.

We also had a wee hand this year from the Peebles Monday Beavers who helped clean up the area down Pennels Close, so a big thanks to them.

A big thanks also to The Green Tree Hotel and Linton Bakes who fed and watered us with Filled rolls, cakes and hot drinks, as you can see it was much appreciated.

Good Evening, Calling all members
We are in need of volunteers to have a successful Grand Parade on Beltane Saturday.
Are there any members of the Callants free between 11am and 1.30 PM to assist with marshalling specific points round town. I appreciate the Callants also help with the disembark but we are very short on volunteers.
If so please DM member Paul Spence

Callants turned out this morning to carry out some maintenance work at Haylodge park.
Part of a cherry tree that had broken away and fallen into the daffodils was cleared away. Weeds in the main wall were removed and we sanded down and varnished some of our benches in the park.

Callants who would like to assist with general maintenance work in Hay Lodge Park are requested to meet at the main gate at 9am on Sunday 26th April.
Permission has been given to remove the fallen tree in the daffodil display area. Sections of the wall also need weeds removed.
