To all the women who gather with us

As we step into the first of September, we hope you’ve had a beautiful summer and found a few moments of rest along the way.

There’s definitely a touch of autumn in the air today — that quiet shift in light, that softer breeze, that feeling of turning towards the slower months.

To our regular guests who’ve been coming to the table for so long — we’ve been thinking of you and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

And to the women who are new to our space — you’re warmly invited to join us this season.

Our Autumn and Winter Supper Clubs are now open to book.

These evenings are created for women who want gentle connection, seasonal food, soft ritual and a calm place to land as the year begins to turn.

You can check out our Facebook Events or visit our website to book your spot on our booking page.

With warmth
Kaytee and Dani

Update: I posted this question on Reddit. Seems most men want peace and a simple life without drama and to continue their interests and hobbies, but in the safe knowledge they have a life partner to go home to. Not so very different from us women.

**Gentlemen, we have questions…**
Isn’t it strange? If you Google it, , somewhere between 37% and 63% of men say they would like a life partner or marriage.
Meanwhile, plenty of women seem to be discovering that independence, particularly after years of childcare, parent care and partner care, is actually rather lovely, and aren't all that bothered about a relationship.

So, gentlemen: please answer this - anonymously if you prefer:
1. Is it true? Would you really like someone to share your life?
2. If it is, what’s stopping you from coming along to one of our lovely dinners - if only for practice?

Before anybody gets twitchy, Dinners With Friends is not dating. It is good food, friendly conversation, new people and absolutely no pressure. But friendships, confidence and a wider social circle have to begin somewhere. And regrettably, that somewhere is rarely beside the biscuit tin.

We’d genuinely love to hear what you think.

Batching up continuous gut-health goodness straight from the garden today!

There is nothing quite like taking fresh, homegrown tomatoes and red onions and turning them into a living, probiotic-rich condiment.

Today’s counter-top ferment: 1,300g of vibrant garden produce, packed with fresh red chilli, pungent garlic, coriander, lime juice and a generous crunch of Maldon sea salt.

Inspired by the brilliant Janice Clyne over at Nourished by Nature who always makes the science of lacto-fermentation feel so simple and joyful.

Fermenting fresh salsa elevates the flavours with a delicious tangy kick while nourishing your gut microbiome with every single spoonful.

Though to be honest... I am not sure if this is even going to last until our first supper club in September!

Who else has ferments bubbling away on their kitchen counters this week?
