We gathered a group of 30 South-West practitioners for a morning of shared practical work, networking, and discussion. Our regional freelancers are vital to the creative industries, and their skills, expertise and know-how is a vibrant regional asset and resource.

✨🌴 Big new for Torbay this week 🌴✨

Department for Culture, Media and Sport has officially recognised Torbay as a Priority Place in its new strategy — recognising the urgent need and growing potential for arts and cultural investment in our community 🎭

💭 Erin's new blog post explores what this means for local organisations, young people, schools, artists and partnerships across the Bay. It’s a thoughtful reflection on the challenges we face, but also the exciting shift that’s beginning to happen here ⭐️

We can't tell you how grateful we are for those of you that joined us in the incredible heat on Sunday to walk ☀️

Thank you so much to every Doorstepper, family, friend & pup that walked, every grandparent, aunty & uncle that sponsored them and everyone that donated. And a big thank you to our theatres that opened up their doors for us on our walk, Brixham Theatre, Palace Theatre, St Paul's Church in Preston & Princess Theatre Torquay

⭐️ We've raised nearly £800 and the donations are still coming in - could you help us get to the goal? Funds raised go towards our summer production of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', these funds play a vital role in helping us cover production costs. They also enable us to offer bursaries, ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to take part, regardless of financial circumstances

🎟️ Don't forget to book your tickets while you're there!

☀️ We are so excited for you to join us on our upcoming Sponsored Walk, From One Theatre to Another, this Sunday ☀️

A reminder to take the walk at your own pace, as far as you wish & know there is no rush, as they say in High School Musical...... ‘We’re all in this together!’

The walk will start at Brixham Theatre, continue to Palace Theatre (Paignton), include a pit stop at St Paul’s Church Hall (Preston) and finish at Princess Theatre Torquay (Torquay) 🎭

We will be playing music throughout the walk & raising funds along the way. We will be walking the road route so lots of people can see us along the way & posting live feeds on social media to keep people updated on where we are.

Brixham Theatre, The Palace Theatre, St Paul’s Church hall & Princess Theatre have kindly said we can use their toilets on arrival. There are public toilets on route when we venture along the sea front too.

Thank you for getting involved 🫶
