What a year it's been for Team RJAH! 🏃‍♀️🏅

Throughout 2026 our incredible supporters have taken on 10Ks, half marathons and marathons, all while raising vital funds for us at RJAH Charity.

We are so proud of everything this amazing group has achieved. A huge thank you to each and every person for going the extra mile in support of our hospital. 💜

What a little superstar! 🌟

A huge thank you to Maisie who has raised an incredible £300 to help bring smiles to children on Alice Ward. 💜

We think you’re amazing Maisie! 🥰

A huge thank you to Maisie Cumine, a remarkable 5-year-old from Oswestry who has been raising money to help brighten the days of paediatric patients at RJAH 🩵

Maisie decided she wanted to make a difference after spending time around hospitals with her family. She’s been selling her own toys and making handmade bracelets, necklaces and keyrings – raising an incredible £300 so far 👏

The money will be used to buy toys, games and activities for children on Alice Ward, helping to bring some extra smiles and distraction during their time in hospital.

🏃‍♂️ What a superstar! ⭐️

A huge well done to Teddy, who absolutely smashed the Junior Great North Run, crossing the finish line in 15:05! 👏

Teddy was proudly sporting his RJAH Charity top ❤️ Special shout out to Mum Sian Elizabeth Langford for clocking up 30,000 steps to capture it all - phew 😮‍💨

There was even time for a pre-run interview 🎤 we think we may have a future celebrity on our hands!

Ellie Orton OBE, CEO of NHS Charities Together, recently visited RJAH to see first-hand to see how charitable funding is helping to improve the experience of patients, staff and volunteers 👏

During her visit, Ellie met members of the Future Friends volunteering team from The League of Friends, heard about the positive impact of volunteering on young people, and toured the hospital's therapeutic garden spaces, including the Garden for Alice 🌻

She also saw a number of NHS Charities Together funded projects in action, including the Path of Positivity and a Workforce Wellbeing initiative in Theatres.

We’re incredibly proud that RJAH Charity is a charity partner for the Ellesmere 10K — and even prouder to have an amazing 50-strong Team RJAH taking part! 🙌

Staff, supporters, friends and colleagues are pulling on their trainers and taking to the streets of Ellesmere, all helping to raise funds and awareness for our incredible hospital. 💙

Climbing Snowdon is no mean feat, but that’s exactly the challenge this tenacious team of colleagues from Culina Group embarked on in order to raise funds for our Veterans' Orthopaedic Service 👏🏼

The team, made up of several veterans, chose to support RJAH as a thank you for the care one of their colleagues was given following a spinal cord injury.
