Another superb collection of unwanted and unused bikes from our lovely supporters in Shrewsbury and Telford areas today. That makes over 70 bikes collected so far this year. All will be assessed, refurbished and certified by our in house team of qualified mechanics and then put back into the community to support our aims of active travel within Shropshire.

Thanks to every single one of you who have donated and supported this project. We hope to make it to 200 bikes this year and are now well on the way…we couldn’t do this without the support of you all.

Get in touch if you have a bike you can donate. As long as it’s not rusty we can make use of it.

Carrie enjoying 5mins rest at the Belle Vue Arts Festival . If you didn’t know Carrie is our eCargo delivery bike and she delivers your shopping home completely free of charge 5 mornings a week within a 3 mile radius of Shrewsbury market hall.

21 bikes collected today from bike shops and individuals around Shropshire by our volunteers Anthony and Jason. All donated to us to be refurbished, safety checked and put back into regular use through our shop in Oswestry. The money raised by this helps fund our activities across Shropshire to get more people (and things) moving sustainably.

Our next collection is scheduled for Tuesday 9th June, if you have a bike you would like to donate please get in touch. We have donation points in Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry. Plus if you are local we may be able to collect.

🚲 A volunteer on an eco-friendly e-bike can deliver your shopping straight to your door within 3 miles of the town centre thanks to the Wellington Cycle Delivery Scheme. To arrange a delivery, simply call 07398 136120.

Wellington Market, Shropshire is open throughout the refurbishment works 💚 Visitors will find clear signage and plans to help locate any traders who have temporarily moved, and friendly market staff in hi-vis are on hand if you need help finding a stall. 🙂

There’s lots to explore in Wellington, so don’t forget to also take a stroll around the high street and support our brilliant local businesses 🛍
