CLiCC workshop 4th of June - Oswestry Memorial Hall - 7pm-8.30pm
This is an invitation to a workshop run by CLiCC, the Centre for Living with Climate Change, University of Chester.
The University of Chester would like to invite members, volunteers, and friends of Go With The Flow in Oswestry/ Green Team, Repair CafΓ©, OsNosh and OsCAH to take part in a community research project run by the Centre for Living with Climate Change (CLiCC), focused on shaping a climate-resilient water future in the Upper Severn.
We would love to meet you and hear about your local water experiences, challenges and priorities.
For this, we would like to invite you to an initial one-hour workshop during which we will ask you some questions and mainly listen to your views.
We will hold this initial session on the 4th of June at the Memorial Hall in Oswestry from 7pm until 8.30pm. Refreshments will be provided. This initial session will be followed by a session in the autumn where you will get the opportunity to work with participants from Llanfyllin, Newtown and Shrewsbury to create a shared vision for future water resilience within the Upper Severn catchment.
This work sits within the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme, a cross-border strategy combining nature-based solutions with traditional engineering to reduce flood risk. CLiCC is a demonstrator project within it, and we're developing a co-design programme to better understand local experiences, needs and ideas around water. We are interested in flooding and drought but also in water quality (in nature and in our homes) and water for food production.
The workshop will be informal and collaborative, and findings will be shared to help shape future action. Ahead of the session, we may send a short questionnaire (via link or QR code) to gather initial input.
Your contribution would be highly valuable.
