In a world full of division, our unity is what sets us apart as followers of Jesus. In Tanzania, God has been doing incredible things through his church as they model togetherness to their Muslim neighbours.

Read this article from our recent Connect magazine and be encouraged by the transforming power of radical unity as churches work together to make Christ known.

Did you know that the word ‘Mwani’ means beach, reflecting their lives as fishermen on the northern coast of Mozambique? Yet despite the slow-paced lifestyle on the seas, their lives are often characterised by fear. Many follow Folk Islam, with protective charms often hidden in their boats or tied around as a necklace on their children. Choosing to follow Jesus can take tremendous courage as they face criticism and rejection by their families and communities.

Pray that more Mwani people would come to know the freedom and peace that comes from trusting in Jesus.

Do you have a heart for creation care? Or practical skills in agriculture, farming or conservation?

With World Environment Day coming up this Friday, join us as we reflect on creation care as an essential part of bringing the good news in all its fullness.

Our mission workers, Barry and Heather, are serving with Growing Nations, an agricultural organisation based in Lesotho, that provides gospel transformation through training in sustainable agriculture. They share some of their encouragements from a recent training event:

“It was great to be able to engage with the 9 participants from Botswana, Lesotho and Zambia. The participants learnt many different things during their time including hands on Farming God’s Way Conservation Agriculture methods, discovery bible studies, transformational development, and how the gospel can be shared through agriculture. We are excited to see how God uses them and the knowledge they have gained in the future”.

If you would like to explore opportunities to use your skills and passions for creation care in global mission, we’d love to hear from you. Watch out for our upcoming edition of Connect magazine as we explore how you can use your skills and passions to serve God.
