Great to see Martin’s Changing Places work highlighted. We’re grateful for his heart for inclusion and accessibility.

At my constituency surgery in Beeston, I was really pleased to be joined by Martin Jackaman, a local resident and the founder of the Changing Places toilets. Martin had seen my speech in Parliament calling greater capital investment for Changing Places toilets and came to chat about making our communities more accessible and inclusive.

It was so interesting to hear the story of how the Changing Places toilet was designed and the campaign to get them installed across the UK.

Access to a toilet that can meet the needs of people with limited mobility, or need continence pads changed, is absolutely essential for an inclusive community. No one should feel that they can’t go out, because accessing a toilet that meets their needs is too hard.

Thank you so much to Martin for coming to talk to me about this very important topic!
