HALLOWEEN AT THE MUSEUM.
We had a great day at the folk museum enjoying all the spooky fun. We spoke to some of the suspects in the 'who dun it' and looked at the evidence in the police station - we still had no clue who the murderer was 🤣 CJ headed off to see if he could work it out and when we meet him later he didn't know the answer either. 😂
Ryan led the way with his fantastic (dubious) map reading skills and our aim was apparently to get to number 51 and to be fair we did make it there in the end 🤭
After we had seen everything and walked "for miles!!" according to Connie, we headed to the picnic area and had a lovely picnic and a bit of a chill out.
Callum and Sam went shopping for sweets to make more Christmas sweetie bags and of course we got the mandatory w**e gums and coke zero for Callum. 🤦🤭🤣
Another day of fun with friends and more memories made for team East Coast.

PACKING, RECYCLING & SHOPPING
We started our day by making up our winter bags that are to be donated to Hope Harbour for the homeless. We have extra things like tea bags and sleeping bags to donate. The boys did the recycling and decorated the HUB for Halloween while Connie got the picnic bag sorted for tomorrow.
A bit of mindfulness before lunch. Our microwave stopped working yesterday so we headed off to get a new one. Sam was very keen to test them all and boy is he fussy 🤣. We also bought goodies for our Halloween party on Friday.
Lots of things achieved today and lots of laughs along the way.

WORKING TOWARDS OUR CHARITY DONATIONS
Today the boys started strong with a sausage butty each. The girls got stuck right into putting the finishing touches on our hot chocolate cones.
A full production line was set up to get our Christmas bags filled and everyone had to put their Christmas treat in the bag then pass it to the next station. We are selling these Christmas treat bags for £10 and sweetie cones for £2.25 and the young people are putting some of the money from these and their Christmas crafts towards their 3 chosen charities.
We had a visit from our neighbour Mr Mullen who gave us a load of assorted coins to sort and bag up. He told us to keep the money so it was decided to put it towards our donation of bags for the homeless so thank you to Dusty for his generosity.
After lunch we hit the shops to buy all sorts of things to put into our bags for the homeless. Each young person is filling a bag so we will be donating 6 in total and adding a few other things needed by Hope Harbour charity. Of course no shopping trip would be complete without a bit of personal shopping and a few treats were purchased before home.
We love how enthusiastic our young people are about helping others and giving generously to worthy causes. This is testament to the amazing character of all our young people. 👏👏👏

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT TODAY?? MADHOUSE!😂
We started with the strangest thing- Llewellyn decided she might like to try her hand at card making. Connie was horrified, Llewellyn broke out in a sweat and quite possibly some hives from all the pressure but she managed to make 2 fantastic cards and we think she secretly enjoyed it - Connie is still traumatised. 😂
We had a full house today and there was craft, recycling, tea, antics, singing & hoovering all before break. Abbi called in while her car was getting fixed next door and ended up staying all day which was lovely. We all headed to circus skills except CJ who worked hard sorting the gym store and sorting and cleaning the downstairs gym. Today was Ryan's first day at circus skills and although he is very nervous in new situations he was amazing and we are so very proud of him.
Back at the HUB we had a visit from our old Tor Bank friends Ann & James. We had a really fun afternoon catching up with them and hearing all about what James is getting up to. We also had a visit from Ron & Duke. Another day of fun, frolics and friendship at East Coast.

BLOOPERS!!!!
The girls wanted me to post the out takes of them making their promotional video for their Christmas treat bags. They wanted everyone to laugh along with them.
We did about 6 takes and after about an hour of belly laughing we gave up and just posted what we had 😂😂😂.
What Connie and Erin were trying to tell you was that they are making fab Christmas treat bags for £10 or sweetie cones for £2.25. some of the money is going to their chosen charities.
Even when things don't go to plan at East Coast we sure do make the best of it and always have a laugh along the way. 🤭😜😁

FRIDAY WIND DOWN.
So this morning the girls decided to do a little video to launch their Christmas goodie bags. Sounds easy?? Connie had it all written out and rehearsed but when they started talking they also started giggling and every time they thought they had composed themselves they just started laughing again. The video that they uploaded was take 6 and it still wasn't right but it was the best we were getting today 😂🤦🎬
My sides were sore laughing.
We had our friend Donna in today to do a cookery workshop and we made pizza wheels. Connie had cheese, Callum had ham & cheese and Erin had cheese and plant based pepperoni. Everyone loved them. Donna brought her gorgeous wee dog Toby with her and he even dressed up in his dicky bow for the occasion.
After lunch we got cleared up and then chilled with a Halloween movie and some popcorn 🍿.
We are off next week for a wee holiday but over the weekend I will upload the funny out takes of this morning's filming to give you all a giggle.
Oh I really do love my job.

plus some advice from Erin.

THIS & THAT THURSDAY
Today we only had Connie and Callum but boy did they have a productive day. We started with making up some of our packets of reindeer food for our Christmas goody bags. Connie then made some cookies while Callum worked at getting all the empty equipment boxes from the downstairs gym all folded up and recycled. The place needed a little bit of a clean up so team work got it all s**c and span in no time. We had a visit from our friend Johnny Whataboutye Pankhurst who did a session in the gym with some of the new equipment and gave us an introduction to hyrox which was so much fun.
We gave our craft stones another quick coat of paint to get them ready for the next step. Callum has a wee rest 💤😴 while Connie sorted all the Halloween sweetie cone money and then did some planning for our Christmas sweetie goodies. Video to follow tomorrow.
Another great day for team East Coast.
