📣 Youth Voice AND 📣

This morning, our Youth Voice nominated Mayor for the Day, Megan, had the honour of attending the Annual Meeting of Ards and North Down Borough Council, in the beautiful Bangor Castle 🌟

During the meeting, Megan witnessed the official handover from the outgoing Mayor and Deputy Mayor to the newly appointed Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ards & North Down 🤝

Megan also had the incredible opportunity to sit alongside and have a conversation with our previous Mayor, Councillor McCollum and the newly elected Deputy Mayor, Councillor Cochrane.

A brilliant experience for a young person passionate about youth leadership and civic engagement 🙌

Well done Megan, we are proud of you for representing Youth Voice with confidence and enthusiasm 💫

Huge shout out to Dave and Kenneth, who show up every Thursday evening to volunteer their time at Ballymagee Youth Club 🙌

Our Thursday evening youth club runs in partnership with Clifton School, Bangor. Both Kenneth and Dave attended Clifton School as pupils and for over 10 years have been volunteering in Thursday night youth club. Their long‑standing commitment is something truly special ✨️

Thank you both for everything you do. Your commitment over the years has made a real difference to the lives of young people and we are proud to celebrate you both this Volunteer Week 🤝

Tonight, one of our amazing Youth Workers, Sophie, finished up and began her maternity leave 💕

From all of the staff and young people at Youth Voice, we want to say a massive thank you! You have made such a difference, not only to the young people in Youth Voice, but also Monday evenings at Donaghadee Youth Club!

While we will all miss you loads, we are so excited for you as you start this new chapter. We wish you all the happiness as you welcome your little one into the world 👶✨

We can’t wait to meet the little one and welcome our youngest Youth Voice member to the group 💛
