⭐🎵Music Department News🎵⭐

Congratulations to Year 11 superstar Etain who was awarded no fewer than five 1st places at the recent Fleadh Cheoil Aontroma: Flute 12-15, Flute Slow Airs 12-15, Tin Whistle 12-15, Tin Whistle Slow Airs, and Duet 12-15 (along with her brother!). Etain will now be competing in each of these categories at the Fleadh Uladh in July.

Congratulations to Cahir and Lorcan from Year 9 on their outstanding success at the recent Antrim Fleadh.

Cahir was awarded 1st place in the 12–15 Button Key Accordion category and 2nd place in the 12–15 Group Competition.

Lorcan achieved 1st place in the 12–15 Uilleann Pipes, Slow Air and Duet categories. He also secured 2nd place in the 12–15 Tin Whistle Solo and Slow Air classes.

These are fantastic achievements and a testament to the boys’ hard work and dedication. We wish both Cahir and Lorcan every success as they prepare to compete at the Ulster Fleadh in August.

Renowned for their rich musicianship, warmth and dynamic live performances, Zoë and John bring together masterful fiddle, guitar and song in an intimate and welcoming setting. This concert is open to audiences of all ages, with under 18s and families especially welcome, creating a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can enjoy high-quality traditional music together.

This concert is supported by the Belfast City Council Teenage Kicks Programme.
