🐛🦋 An exciting day in Derw Bach! 🦋🐛

Today, our butterflies were ready to fly off to their new homes.

Our morning children released their butterflies in the big garden, while our afternoon children enjoyed a walk to Dolerw Park to set theirs free.

A simple question — “I wonder where the butterflies will go now?” — sparked lots of curiosity and conversation. The children sat together, listened carefully to one another, and shared their own wonderful ideas:

⭐️ To Welshpool to buy sweets
⭐️ To the beach
⭐️ To see my Granny in Poland
⭐️ To my house
⭐️ I think they’ve gone swimming
⭐️ I think they went to find a bug house
⭐️ To drive a car
⭐️ To go and get some suncream

It was a lovely opportunity to encourage imagination, language, and discussion as we said goodbye to our butterflies and wished them well on their adventures! 🦋💛

Stepping back and allowing children to follow their curiosity, explore and find out for themselves whilst not panicking about a flooded sand pit and wet clothes and shoes.

🍎Let’s Get Ready for Reception workshop🍎

A free online session for families to help children feel confident and ready for reception.

Topics include:
- Building social and emotional skills.
- Encouraging problem solving and positive thinking.
- Supporting toileting and independence skills.

What a buzzy day!
Lots of bee themed activities today as we celebrated “bumble day”
Thankyou to X for bringing his bee suit to show us and tell us all about how honey is made. He even brought his own honey for us to have with toast.
