A very different Tuesday evening for us this week, as instead of our usual weekly rehearsal, we performed in a concert with Ny Ako Madagascar at the Crescent Christian Centre. 🇲🇬🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It was a wonderful night of music, singing and dancing, and we especially enjoyed joining together to sing the hymn 'Gwahoddiad' at the end of the concert. 👍

Ny Ako are in the area for a few weeks as part of their European tour, and will be performing at a number of other locations locally before they return to Madagascar in July. 🎶

It was a pleasure to perform with you all! All the best for the rest of your tour, and safe travels back to Madagascar. We hope to see you again sometime! 🤩

Our busy week continues this Tuesday (16th June), as we will be joining Ny Ako Madagascar 🇲🇬 for a free concert at the Crescent Christian Centre in Newtown, starting at 7pm.

Ny Ako, from Madagascar, are visiting the area as part of their European tour, and we can't wait to perform with them! 🤩

It promises to be a fantastic evening of music and dance. All are welcome, we hope to see you there! 🎶 💃 🕺

Part 2 of our busy weekend today, as we returned to the beautiful St Mary's Church in Bettws-y-Crwyn to perform as part of THE BETTWS TRIANGLE Music Festival. ️⛪️ 🎹 🎶

We first performed at the festival last year, and are really pleased to have been invited back to perform again this year! 👍

We then headed to The Crown Inn at Newcastle for a fabulous buffet and drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, thanks for the warm welcome - we'll see you again soon! 🍺🍷🥪🍟

The start of a busy few days for us last night, as we performed at the 45th anniversary of Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre at the Elephant and Castle.

Something a bit different this weekend, as choir members (and partners) braved the elements to climb to the summit of Pumlumon / Plynlimon. ⛰️

Despite the wet weather, a great time was had by all, and we especially enjoyed the opportunity to warm up with food and drinks in the Bluebell Inn, Llangurig afterwards! 🍗🍟🍔🍺🍷

Thanks to everyone who organised this event, especially to choir member Nik who led the walk! 👍

We had a wonderful time last night performing in the sunshine at Arthur's Restaurant & Bar / Meadow Springs Country & Leisure Park.

Tonight was supposed to be the night of our Annual Concert at Hope Church, Newtown, featuring our good friend, local tenor Aled Wyn Davies.

A couple of months ago, Aled got in touch to say he wasn't sure he'd be available after all, as he was involved in another project which might mean he'd be perfoming elsewhere that night.

Turns out he was right, as tonight Aled will be perfoming with The Hawkstone Farmers Choir in the semi final of Britain's Got Talent! ⭐️

Catch them on ITV from 7pm, and make sure you vote for them - it would be great to see them in the final!🤞

Pob lwc i ti Aled ac i'r côr i gyd, gan bawb yng Nghôr Meibion y Drenewydd! 🤩

We hope that Aled will be able to join us at Hope Church next year instead - keep an eye out for details soon! 👀

Everyone involved with the choir would like to wish our brilliant MD, Sarah Astley Davies (on the right of the photo with other directors Les Skilton and Dawn Jones) all the very best for LS&D Productions opening night of We Will Rock You UK.

The show is being performed at The Hafren Theatre Newtown at 7.30pm (and also tomorrow night - Saturday - at 7.30pm) with only a few tickets still available for both, so get yours today!!!!
