Come to the Community Furniture Project in Newbury for low-cost pre-loved furniture, some as-new flat-packed pieces, as well as books, bicycles and bric-a-brac. Our shelves are full of surprising items! Everything is on a first-come-first-served basis so come on down today and have a browse! All proceeds support projects operated by registered charity NCRC.

🏆🏆We are thrilled to report that Football Came Home to the Newbury Furniture Project last Sunday when both our pan-ability teams won their groups in the FA’s Berks, Bucks and Oxon Inclusive League.⚽️🎉

Our League Two team had clinched the title earlier in the season but our Conference team had to remain unbeaten during the final meeting of the season on 7th June to win. Despite tough opposition they successfully held off the competition and won all their games to win the group by four points.

We are so proud of both teams who work hard through the year at training sessions as well as on the pitch.

The Furniture Project has been competing in the BOBi league for about 10 years and we started fielding two teams three years ago. All our players live with a learning or physical disability and many haven’t had the opportunity to play in competitive sport before joining the CFP team.

The teams are supported by proceeds from the Community Furniture Project – thank you for donating and shopping with us and helping to provide opportunity and achievement like this.

Also huge thanks go to all the staff, volunteers, friends, family and footballers who support the CFP Football Club and helped to make this happen!

It's Volunteers Week so its a great time for us to celebrate all our amazing volunteers - past and present - across our projects. Our volunteers help us to deliver vital services in our local communities for vulnerable adults and people who are having a tough time. Whether it's helping us run the shops, sort out saplings or fix bikes everything our volunteers do makes a real difference to the families and individuals who need us. Thank you!
