Back in May, Newbridge Community Centre had an event to celebrate the completion of a lot of renovation work, thanks to the successful bid for a National Lottery grant and another from Shalfleet Parish Council.

We invited our MP Mr Richard Quigley, to attend the event but unfortunately for us, he had a previous engagement, but he suggested that he would like to come and look at a later date.

On Tuesday 21st July, Mr Quigley came to meet some of Newbridge Community Centres trustees, to talk about the day to day runnings and expenses and how the grants had been welcomed to help us keep the centre updated and of use for the community in this day and age.

Mr Quickly had a tour of the centre and seemed impressed as to what we had to offer the community, from the events that we hold, to the availability of bookings for private family parties, to group use for such things as art clubs to Pilates classes etc.

Many thanks to Mr Quigley for making the time to attend.
