🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE – BOATING PROGRAMME 🚨
Following recent guidance and trials conducted in partnership with senior stakeholders, Newark Sea Cadets will be introducing a new “maritime camouflage initiative” with immediate effect.
All Trinity 500 rowing boats are in the process of being repainted in sea camouflage, designed to reduce visibility during operations on inland waterways, particularly on the River Trent and Girton.
Initial trials have shown:
• Increased stealth during manoeuvres
• Improved “tactical positioning” during races
• A noticeable drop in being spotted by rival units
Cadets will shortly begin training in the new configuration, adapting quickly to what is being described as a “more operationally capable rowing experience.”
Further developments may include:
• Camouflaged lifejackets
• Silent rowing techniques
• Advanced concealment drills along the riverbank
We appreciate your support as we continue to modernise and align with evolving maritime standards.
