What does an equal future look like for girls across the Tees Valley? And what are we doing to make it happen?
To mark International Day of the Girl, we’re reflecting on the difference we’re making at Power of Women and why our work matters now more than ever.
Over the past year, we’ve reached more than 2,000 children and young people across 29 schools, appointed 100 Primary School Equality Ambassadors and worked with incredible business partners to bring learning to life beyond the classroom.
We’ve seen young people grow in confidence, challenge stereotypes and stand proudly in boardrooms, sharing their ideas directly with business leaders.
And with 96% of participating schools reporting a positive impact, we know these opportunities are making a difference.
But there’s still work to do.
We want every young person to feel that their ambitions are valid, their voice matters and their future isn't limited by their background or gender.
