🐱 Happy National Cat Day! 🐱

Here at RSPCA Middlesbrough, Teesside & District Branch, we love all animals, but today we're celebrating our wonderful feline friends. ❤️

Over the past year, we've helped cats across our region through emergency veterinary treatment, neutering programmes, and Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) initiatives carried out by our dedicated volunteers. The RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub has done an amazing job rehoming in our area. Every cat we help is given a better chance at a healthy and happy future.

Sadly, the UK continues to face a growing cat welfare crisis. Rescue centres are seeing increasing numbers of stray, abandoned and unwanted cats, all needing food, shelter, veterinary care and, ultimately, loving homes.

Everyone can help. One of the most effective ways to reduce the number of cats entering rescue is through neutering. It prevents unwanted litters and helps ease the pressure on charities and rescue organisations.

No matter how many cats we help, there are always many more waiting for support. Rescues cannot tackle this alone.

💙 As an independent, self-funded branch, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue this vital work. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide emergency treatment, support neutering schemes and give vulnerable cats the second chance they deserve.

🐹 Celebrate Week with a Piggy MOT!

On 30th October, take a few moments to give your guinea pigs a health check. Monitoring their weight, teeth, nails and general condition can help identify problems before they become serious.

There is lots of information about keeping them safe and healthy on the website https://guineapigalliance.com/

And if you're thinking of adding guinea pigs to your family, please consider adopting. Many beautiful cavies are waiting for loving homes in rescue. ❤️

🐾🖤 It's , and here at RSPCA Middlesbrough, Teesside & District, we absolutely love black cats!

Recently, one of our incredible branch volunteers rescued seven kittens who had been born in the area. Through her hard work, patience and determination, all seven kittens were safely brought into care, where they received the love and support they needed until they were ready to start their next chapter. One of the little guys had even hidden in an old tumble dryer pipe.

These gorgeous babies, all black or black-and-white, are now safe and will have the chance to enjoy happy, loving lives in wonderful new homes.

Today we're celebrating black cats everywhere and the amazing people who help give them the future they deserve. 🖤🐱

🐾 Meet Huda 🐾

Huda is a gorgeous girl aged around 1 to 2 years old who is searching for her forever home.

She is a sweet, affectionate and playful cat who loves attention, especially fusses, strokes and head rubs. Huda has plenty of energy and enjoys keeping busy.

Although she can be a little shy in new situations, with patience and reassurance she soon settles and shows her loving nature. Once comfortable, she is a well-behaved, affectionate girl who is truly beautiful inside and out.

Huda can be rehomed with children aged 8+ and is waiting for a family to give her the happy home she deserves.

Could you be the one to give Huda her forever home? ❤️

Huda is being rehomed through our lovely folks at RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub https://cathub.co.uk/ourcats
