Thank you! we thought it went really well last night it was a great team effort. The bonfire was great, fantastic firework display, brilliant family atmosphere, lots of nice feedback, the weather was good, most of the food stalls sold out, live music went down well and we raised some money to go back into Marple Scouts and Girl Guiding Marple. Thank you to everyone who helped support this event whether it was buying a ticket, volunteering on the day, or getting involved leading up to the event, it is REALLY REALLY APPRECIATED. If you did take any photos or videos, please share them on our Facebook and Instagram accounts, we would love to see them.

It is going to be busy on Saturday, so please plan you journey in advance, leaving plenty of time to find a suitable parking space.

There are quite a few car parks within walking distance and unlike parking in Manchester Airport you won't have to get a separate loan out, they are very reasonably priced and most if not all are free after 6.00pm.

How to get to Marple Bonfire
By Train
Marple Station is a 1 minute walk from/to Brabyns Park

By Bus
From Stockport (every 10 minutes)
383 (via Offerton/Bredbury/Romiley)
384 (via Offerton/Marple)

From New Mills
358 to The Navigation in Marple, then a 10 minute walk from there

From Hazel Grove
192 into Stockport, then either the 383 or 384 Stockport Bus Station

Car/Parking
It is going to be very busy and so for safety reasons there is no parking within Brabyns Park on the evening.
If you live locally, and are able to walk to Brabyns Park, please do so – you’ll avoid the traffic, save the environment and have more fun.

If you do have to drive, please use local car parks, there are two situated on Brabyns Brow, but will probably fill up quickly – a full list of local car parks can be found here.

You cannot park on surrounding roads. Parking restrictions are in force before and during the bonfire.
