5th Hyde Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers together form 5th Hyde Scout Group.

Bringing adventure to boys and girls in Hyde, Godley, Newton, Gee Cross and across Tameside. Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

We have just launched our JustGiving page to help Rachel and Mason get to the World Scout Jamboree next year.

All donations welcome.

We are raising funds to allow 2 of our explorers to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in Summer 2027. They will have the opportunity to meet around 40,000 scouts from all over the world and gain new skills for life.

5th Hyde Scouts is where young people aged 6 to 18 come together to learn #SkillsForLife.

Our Beavers (6 to 8 years) and Explorers (14 to 18 years) meet on Mondays.

Our Cubs (8 to 10 years) and Scouts (10 to 14 years) meet on Thursdays.

We have fun on our meeting nights learning about our community, the environment and the world around us. We also love to have adventures and spend lots of time outdoors.
