Thank you so much for joining us and for all the support you've given us over the years so we can be there for adults and children to safely leave and rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic abuse.

Members and partners of the Rotary Club of Margate were delighted to attend the Oasis Garden Party at Godmersham Park.

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the incredible work that Oasis Domestic Abuse Service does to support adults and children affected by domestic abuse, and to meet the passionate team dedicated to making a real difference in our communities.

A night of celebration on Friday as Oasis trustee Mary-Joyce Insaidoo became President of the Kent Law Society, and announced Oasis as the Society's charity partner for 2026/7.

The committee had organised a sensational evening of food and entertainment at the beautiful Champneys Eastwell Manor Hotel & Spa. Oasis Partnerships Manager Holly Broadley spoke about the impact that businesses can have on the lives of survivors of abuse, and how small actions can bring about a big change.

The response from the 320 attendees in the room was fantastic, with over £1,300 raised in donations. We were delighted when Bridger's Law offered to match that figure - an example of the business community truly standing up for survivors.

There is an exciting calendar of events planned for the year ahead - if the first event is anything to go by, it's going to be a wonderful year of collaboration.

Some of the incredible children we support recently enjoyed a fantastic day at Canterbury Golf Club, trying out the driving range for the very first time ⛳️

It was a fun, relaxed day filled with smiles, laughter and a few impressive swings - giving everyone the chance to try something new and simply enjoy being children in a safe, welcoming space.

We’re also delighted to share that we’ve been chosen as Canterbury Golf Club’s Charity of the Year. A huge thank you to the club for their ongoing support - it makes such a difference.

Mental Health Awareness Week may be over, but the impact of domestic abuse on mental health doesn’t end here.

That's why we're here all year round.

Every day, we support people living with fear, anxiety, trauma and isolation as a result of domestic abuse. Through trauma-informed support, we help survivors rebuild their confidence, break the cycle of abuse and begin to feel safe again.

If you or someone you know needs help, we are here.

Some signs can be subtle - but if your relationship is affecting your mental health, it’s important to be aware of these warning signs.

If you’re experiencing any of the below and feel your relationship may be unhealthy, please know you are not alone. Support is available, and you deserve to feel safe and respected.

1 - You stop feeling like yourself: Controlling who you see or where you go can leave you feeling isolated, anxious and affect your sense of self

2 - You’re always walking on eggshells: Constant criticism, angry outbursts, blame or the silent treatment can slowly destroy someone’s confidence

3 - You feel watched all the time: Being made to constantly check in, or having your phone, emails or movements monitored, can create fear, anxiety and panic

4 - Nothing you do feels good enough: Manipulation, undermining and gaslighting can make someone question their reality

5 - You’re constantly exhausted: Living in survival mode can affect sleep, concentration and your physical and mental wellbeing

If you're worried - call our helpline: 0800 917 9948
