There are still a couple of places left on the Kids Clay Club session this Saturday!

We’re fully booked for the Family Friendly session, but 6-11 year olds can come and learn the potter’s wheel and other muddy fun whilst you have a quiet hour in one of the lovely local coffee shops 😉

Following on from the successful Summer Camp, we’re also planning a Half Term Clay Camp from the 28th to the 31st of October 9.00-12.00 if they want to get really creative and make some fantastic Christmas presents too.

We couldn’t be more delighted to let you know that we’re finally running Clayspace Saturdays again next Saturday 20th January and on Saturdays the 3rd & 27th of February 🎉😁✨

It’s Kids Clay Club 9.00-10.30 when we’re running a short course for 6-11 year olds. Drop your little potters off and then enjoy a bit of precious peace and quiet!

Our Family Friendly casual session is suitable for all ages and abilities and gives you an opportunity to be creative together. You’ve always fancied a go on the potters’ wheel haven’t you?

After a painfully slow start we finally have made some progress with the studio refurbishment -
The floor is laid, most of the insulation is in place and we have lights! ✨💡✨
After the wonderful high of everybody’s generosity with the crowdfunder, we were shattered by Aviva’s decision to back out of the match funding they promised. This left us with a shortfall of £16k which, as you can imagine, put a large hole in our refurbishment plans 💔
We’re ploughing ahead the best that we can, but it’s going to take much longer than we anticipated to get the final stages done, including heating and plumbing.
We’ll continue to cook up new fundraising plans and we’re very grateful for everyone who came and bought something from us last weekend
This is a tough time financially for so many people and that has made people’s generosity and lovely supportive words even more touching. It feels like a sign of the times when big businesses behave heartlessly, thank goodness for our amazing community 💖

New Year and a new term for us at Clayspace starting this week, but not in the new building just yet!
You will find us in the usual place on Northdown Road for the next term at least. We’re looking forward to seeing old and new faces from this evening. There’s still some places o the casual sessions but both the beginners’ courses are fully booked.

We have a couple of new members of staff too, so that will be fun ✨
