A little teamwork, a lot of fun and some very important life skills!
One of our Farm Wellbeing Intervention groups had a fantastic time clearing the weeds from our water jump. What might look like a simple task was actually a great opportunity to practise following instructions, communication, teamwork and working together towards a shared goal.
The boys were brilliant ā engaged, enthusiastic and responsive, and their teacher had just as much fun!
For some of our young people, these are skills that can be much harder to demonstrate in a traditional classroom environment. But give them the right environment, opportunities and a chance to shine, and they can achieve amazing things.
This is exactly why alternative provision is so important. It gives children the opportunity to discover their strengths, build confidence, experience success and, most importantly, be recognised and celebrated for what they CAN do.
