Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid has delivered vital support to Ukraine.

Our team has recently provided a powerful generator to Ukrainian defending forces in the Kharkiv region. Amid ongoing attacks and an unstable power supply, equipment such as this is critically important. It ensures communications, supports essential technology, and helps meet basic operational needs on the front line.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who continues to support our mission and makes these deliveries possible. Every contribution makes a real difference and directly strengthens the ability of Ukraine’s defenders to carry out their duties.

Together, we continue to stand with Ukraine!

Weekly news digest covering Ukraine’s international support, defense cooperation, and frontline developments.

▪️ The United Kingdom is preparing to join the EU’s €90 billion loan program for Ukraine, deepening defense cooperation with Europe and announcing new sanctions targeting Russia’s military-industrial sector.

▪️ Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held talks with British General Sir Richard Shirreff on expanding military support for Ukraine, strengthening coordination with allies, and boosting the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.

▪️ Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces continue targeting key Russian assets: in one day, Ukrainian drones destroyed an S-300 launcher, a rare “Imbir” radar, ammunition depots, logistics hubs, and fuel railcars in occupied Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

We continue to help Ukraine systematically, weakening Russia’s military potential! 🇬🇧🇺🇦

This week our organization completed another important mission. A convoy of three vehicles was delivered to Ukrainian forces in the east of the country.

These vehicles will directly support frontline units with mobility, logistics, and operational needs in demanding conditions.

We are grateful to everyone who made this possible including our volunteers, partners and supporters.

Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid delivered a truckload of humanitarian and medical aid to Vinnytsia region.
Displaced families in the area were able to choose essential items including textiles, personal hygiene products, and household goods from our supplies.

Among those supported was a family from Kherson with eight children, now living in Turbiv. A donated stove and refrigerator have provided important help as they rebuild their life.
Thank you to everyone who makes this support possible!

Our new digest on key news from Ukraine

On the night of May 14–15, Russia carried out one of its largest combined attacks on Ukraine, launching 731 aerial weapons, including missiles and drones. Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 693 of them, though several strikes still hit targets across the country, including Kyiv, where casualties were reported.

In response to the large-scale Russian attacks, UK Defence Secretary John Healey said the UK would accelerate the delivery of air defence and counter-drone systems, reinforcing Ukraine’s military capabilities.

Separately, Ukraine later carried out a prisoner exchange under the 1000-for-1000 agreement, during which 205 Ukrainian defenders returned home after years in Russian captivity, most captured during the battles for Mariupol in 2022.

We are so excited for this event.

Please come to a very special fundraiser at Clonter Opera House on 30 January 2026 to raise £15,000 for Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid.

Clonter is a beautiful venue in a stunning location, with a welcoming atmosphere, spacious reception rooms, a lovely bar, and free parking. Guests will be greeted by Ukrainian ladies in national dress, and every seat offers an excellent view of the stage.

The evening features an exceptional programme:
• Rory Bremner, the internationally acclaimed comedian and impressionist, headlines the event
• Ukrainian opera singer Sergiy Ivanchuk is flying over to perform exclusively for us

Sergiy’s story is extraordinary. He survived being shot during Russian crossfire in Kharkiv in 2022 while trying to rescue families at the very start of the war. His recovery and courage were featured in the documentary Soldiers of Song, produced by Ryan Gosling.

This fundraiser supports Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid, whose 150+ volunteers have delivered over £14 million of life-saving humanitarian aid directly to Ukraine since February 2022.

Tickets are available here:
https://ukrainianaid.org.uk/

It promises to be a powerful, moving, and memorable evening for an incredibly important cause. I truly hope you can join us.

Every seat has a great view of the stage
