Marsh Farm Outreach

Marsh Farm Outreach Marsh Farm Outreach are a grassroots community group made up of volunteers living on the Marsh Farm Estate in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Marsh Farm itself is a council estate (now 48% private owners tho..) and home to 10,000 people living in 3200 houses & flats. Its a proper soul lifting place to live for lots of reasons - because theres a refreshing and intelligent radicalness about the people, because its a real melting pot with whole heaps of people of different cultures, races, faiths and fashions all gettin on, because it has

a history of standing up for itself, because there are lots of green spaces, because theres tons of young people, because we have the biggest community owned building in the UK, because we have an ancient monument as old as stonehenge - we could go on and on. Bottom line is, Marsh Farm is a top place to live...and soon it will be a great place to work for loads of people living here...as well as a model for use by people living in other 'deprived communities' everywhere...

Positive news for Marsh Farm.
We have great confidence that the lessons learned from the successes and failures of the NDC funding has put MF residents in a great position to make the most of this opportunity.
We know from experience that Marsh Farm possesses all the talent, skills, experience and organisational capacity we need to make this a big success and that nothing boosts community relationships and capacity better than shared goals, activity and ownership.
The key thing now is to ensure that residents' voices are heard and respected and we look forward to playing our part in making that happen!

🚨 JUST ANNOUNCED - Marsh Farm is getting £20million in funding over the next 10 years from this Labour government

When Labour came into government we said we would invest in areas like ours - and we meant it. This funding is a game changer for people across Marsh Farm, and local people will be the ones who decide where it is spent. It also comes with new powers for communities to buy and protect local assets, making sure everyone in our town can be proud of where they live. fans
