SLOWFOOD SUMMER FEAST

Join us for the Slow Food Summer Feast - a communal table feast after the Slow Food Fiesta in the Bridges Pub Courtyard.

In true feast tradition, all our guests will experience our 3 course Summer Feast curated by Head Chef Kaoife O’Neill at our long communal table, so you can expect wonderful food and good company alongside fellow diners and Slow Food Producers.

The Three courses drawn from the best of our Slow Food producers, served as a 3 course Feast at £48 per person.

We take payment at the time of booking to secure your places with a start time of 5:30pm.

As everything is prepared as a single feast for the whole table, the menu is set and we are unable to adapt it for individual dietary requirements - do get in touch before booking if you’d like to check what’s being served.

Drinks aren’t included, but the bar will be open throughout the evening.

Working with Ludlow & Area Community Partnership, part funded by Shropshire Community Foundation and Slow Food Ludlow Marches, Slow Food Ludlow Marches group are currently working with the most brilliant and gifted young people from the Ludlow Foyer.

The Ludlow Foyer provides a safe and supportive environment for young people to gain confidence to lead their lives in the community.

We’re bringing kitchen skills and hospitality experience to inspire possible future careers in Ludlow’s bustling and growing local food sector.

Working with Ludlow & Area Community Partnership, part funded by Shropshire Community Foundation and Slow Food Ludlow Marches.

We are always open to collaborations and working partnerships in the community so do get in touch!

☀️ 🔥 Slow Food Summer Fiesta! 🔥 ☀️

Join us for our 2026 summer sizzling event!

This summer we return back to our spiritual home, deep in the Shropshire Hills, the in Ratlinghope just outside of Shrewsbury! Surrounded by stunning Shropshire hills, a meandering stream and a picture perfect pub, we are thrilled to be returning again this year!

Our Slow Food values align deeply with the pub’s menus, sourcing locally from small scale producers as well as from their own Linley Farm.

Many of our exceptional Slow Food business members will be joining us for this summer jamboree, which promises to offer engaging informal talks and tastings as well as opportunities to purchase on the day.

New for 2026, we are hosting an early evening, outdoor fire feast headed up by local chefs and producers! A new event not to be missed!

What a weekend!

The dust has finally settled on a wonderful weekend at Ludlow Spring Festival 2026!

Over the coming weeks we will be sharing some of the highlights from our wonderful Barrell talks, producers and the weekend!!

🍴Slow Food Barrel Talks and Tastings at Ludlow Spring Food Festival! 🍴

Ludlow Spring Festival kicks off today!

The festival runs on this weekend at Ludlow Castle and Slow Food Ludlow & the Marches are back tomorrow with our wonderful Barrell talks again!

Charles from Kirkwood / Hennell’s Distillery is redefining vodka through a super-premium, small-batch approach crafted with exceptional local ingredients for those choosing to drink less, but better.

Joining on Saturday afternoon, audiences will be able to sample their Malted Maris Otter Barley Vodka and then move to their amazing maple-cask matured vodka which will demonstrate the concept of flavouring through maturation, which they proudly create as a unique approach in the crowded market of flavoured spirits!

A fascinating and insightful talk awaits!

Ludlow Spring Festival is TWO DAYS AWAY!

The festival runs on 9th May 2026, ‐ 10th May 2026 at Ludlow Castle and Slow Food Ludlow & the Marches are back with our wonderful Barrell talks again!

Kicking Sunday off we have the talented Sommelier from !

He will guide you through how to make drinks at home more exciting and intentional!

Together, explore a range of different teas, infusions, juices and functional drinks, with a focus on flavour, creativity and the health benefits these drinks can offer.

This session is discussion-based and ideal for anyone interested in elevating their everyday drinks without alcohol!

Join us at the Barrels at 4pm on Saturday to hear the story of a chance meeting of a local hop farmer and small batch brewer that led to the creation of Spilsbury & Jones.

The story will be illustrated with tastings from their range of real ales, including Tom Jones lager and Ernest and Fuggles ales.

Next up on our line up we have the amazing and knowledgable Laura Hadland ( ) joining Steve on Stage on Saturday at 11.30am!

Award winning beer writer, Laura Hadland (author of Beer Festivals: a great British tradition), will lead us through a tasting of local beers, from Hobsons, to Ludlow Brewery and Mount St Bernard, with a focus on the exciting developments in British hop farming in recent years.

Discover more about the role of hops in brewing and taste for yourself the impact they have on the beer!

🍴Slow Food Barrel Talks and Tastings at Ludlow Spring Food Festival! 🍴

Ludlow Spring Festival is inching closer and we are thrilled to announce more of some amazing Slow Food Barrel talks happening across the weekend!

The festival runs on 9th May 2026, ‐ 10th May 2026 at Ludlow Castle!

Next up, and the weekend host of our Slow Food stage, is the wonderful Steve who’s takes the stage for his own demo on Saturday 9th at 2.30pm!

Steve promises cider, great food, and true to form, a bit of chaos – what more do you need, or expect from our very own Slow Food champion Steve!

Join him for a fun, flavour-packed session pairing some brilliant local ciders from across local counties, with delicious foodie pairings, made with produce gathered and collected that morning from the amazing producers across the festival!

Expect a mix of classics, some unusual combos, and a few surprises along the way…all delicious, all a good laugh! Come hungry!”
