☀️🎾Ivor Jones Trophy – 31st May 2026🎾☀️

Tennis members enjoyed a hot and sunny morning competing for the Ivor Jones Trophy on Sunday 31st May.

After some closely contested matches, the results were:

🏆 Ladies
🥇 Belinda – 22 games
🥈 Joint Runners-Up: Debbie and Desi – 21 games

🏆 Men
🥇 Andrew – 28 games
🥈 Runner-Up: Richard – 26 games

Congratulations to our winners and to all players for making it such an enjoyable event!

Our next club tennis tournament will be the Dell Trophy, played during a club night in June/July. More details to follow.

We’re delighted to share that our project to update the club facilities is almost complete — just a few finishing touches remain!

The new social space that once stored chairs and bbq’s will give members somewhere to relax after sessions and fixtures, welcome visitors, shelter from the weather, and enjoy spending more time at the club together. An updated bathroom and a new kitchen area, now with running water will make a huge difference to the club.

A huge thank you to (Volunteer It Yourself), who helped secure funding from Barclays, alongside generous support from Morgan Sindall and Dulux. The work was carried out by young people gaining valuable trade and employability experience, supported by an excellent team of mentors.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved and can’t wait for members to start enjoying the new spaces.

What a fantastic Open Day! 🎾☀️

We were thrilled to see so many people attend and get involved throughout the day. From energetic cardio tennis and pickleball sessions to junior coaching sessions and a brilliant Club Family Fun Doubles finale for our junior members.

The sun was shining, the courts were buzzing, and the atmosphere was amazing all day long.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us, and to our wonderful members who helped out, baked cakes, and made the day a success.

A special thanks to Racket Sports Academy for delivering fantastic on court taster sessions, and to sports_lowestofttowncouncil for their continued support.

We loved every minute and hope you did too!

What a fantastic start to our first Saturday morning Pickleball Social of the new membership year! 🏓🌤️

It was great to welcome several new members to the club – we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! With friendly games, a relaxed social atmosphere, and some lovely weather, it couldn’t have been a better way to kick things off.

If you’d like to join us, our regular club sessions take place at Denes Oval:
