🎃Halloween Pickleball Social 31.10.26

What a fantastic afternoon of pickleball, costumes and laughs!

We kicked things off with a costume parade before hitting the courts for short, fun matches, mixing up partners along the way!

Our Trick or Treat challenges added an extra twist to the games, with everything from pickleball challenges to players howling like wolves to celebrate winning a point! Safe to say, there were plenty of laughs!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, embraced the fancy dress and made it such a fun afternoon! 💚

📸 Here’s a few photos of the fun – which outfit gets your vote?

🎾 🏓COME FOR THE GAME, STAY FOR THE CHAT! ☕

It’s not just about what happens on court!

Our clubroom is the place to relax, catch up after a game, and enjoy the social side of our club.

Whether you’ve just finished a tennis match, enjoyed a game of pickleball or you’re waiting for your next session, why not pull up a chair and stay a little longer?
Because sometimes the best conversations happen off the court! 😊

Pickleball Social 🏓

Our next club event is on Saturday 31st October, 2pm till dusk, for an afternoon of social pickleball!

The theme of the afternoon is “Wear the wrong outfit for the occasion”
…basically anything that isn’t your usual Pickleball gear and it doesn’t need to be Halloween themed.

👟 Please note: trainers are compulsory, whatever outfit you choose!

This is open to our tennis members too. Come and join in!

🎾End of Season Tennis Tournament

The end of season tournament for the Juler Trophy took place today with 18 players competing for the trophy first presented 30 years ago!

Conditions were warm and the wind light and at times blustery. Each player had 6 matches of 20 minutes with sudden death deuces, partnering and playing against different players.

The final result was ladies runner up Debbie Faulkner on 22 games and ladies winner Ebony Jarmey on 30 games. Joint men’s runners up were Sam Gee and Peter Aldous on 29 points with joint winners Brent Pearson and Richard Brabben on 30 points.

The afternoon finished with a shared buffet.

A big thanks to Richard for organising the tournament.

⭐️🎾🏓 OVER £900 RAISED! 🏓🎾⭐️

WOW what an amazing result from our Charity Tennis & Pickleball Event on Saturday 12th September.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who played, donated, bought raffle tickets, donated prizes and supported the day in any way.

We’re delighted to share that we have now raised over ✨£900!✨for Brain Research UK, with the last few donations still coming in! 🙌

We are truly grateful for everyone single contrubution. It was such a fab day with a brilliant atmosphere, bringing everyone together through tennis and pickleball while raising money for an important cause.

A very special thank you to Ruby Bishop for taking time out of her schedule to be with us. It was great to have her share some of her own experiences and demonstrate her incredible wheelchair tennis skills. 🎾Players also had the opportunity to get into a sports wheelchair themselves and have a go! We wish Ruby every success in her career going forwards.

A big thank you also to Coach Emily Stebbings for organising and running the event with Ruby without whom the day wouldn’t have gone ahead.

Thank you again to everyone who supported this, we couldn’t have achieved this fantastic total without you! 💙

Over £900 and still counting! 🙌

Clubroom Update 🎾🏓

A big thank you to Lowestoft Town Council

We’re really pleased to share that new carpet tiles have recently been completed in both rooms. These have been kindly funded and installed by Lowestoft Town Council to support our recent renovation project with Volunteer It Yourself.

This improvement was something that was supported by councillor, Wendy Brooks, who sadly recently passed away. Wendy was a great supporter of the club, regularly attending the Walking Tennis sessions with Racket Sports Academy on Tuesdays and played an important part in helping us improve our facilities.

This space will allow members, parents, families and visitors a comfortable space to relax in before or after a game/session, wait while their child is playing, having a coffee, or simply catching up with other members.

We’re delighted to share that our project to update the club facilities is almost complete — just a few finishing touches remain!

The new social space that once stored chairs and bbq’s will give members somewhere to relax after sessions and fixtures, welcome visitors, shelter from the weather, and enjoy spending more time at the club together. An updated bathroom and a new kitchen area, now with running water will make a huge difference to the club.

A huge thank you to (Volunteer It Yourself), who helped secure funding from Barclays, alongside generous support from Morgan Sindall and Dulux. The work was carried out by young people gaining valuable trade and employability experience, supported by an excellent team of mentors.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved and can’t wait for members to start enjoying the new spaces.

Take a look at the photos that also show the before.
