17th–20th August | 1–5pm�each day: Once Upon A Song Musical Workshops�
Enter a magical world of enchanted stories, music, and creativity.

24th & 25th August | 1–5pm�each day: Pirates Of The Musical Seas Workshops�
Set sail on a swashbuckling musical adventure filled with songs, treasure, and fun!

Perfect for young performers of all experience levels. Come make new friends, build confidence, and create unforgettable summer memories!

We were thrilled to bring together passionate young people for a day of songwriting, collaboration and recording with professional artists! 🎶

Co-designed by our Youth Ambassadors as part of their very own Youth Takeover, the day focused on youth voice and advocacy, creating opportunities to connect with other local groups through music.

We began with a networking breakfast, where we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Newham , who gave an inspiring speech and joined young people in conversation, before everyone took part in a creative facilitation workshop and a series of fun musical games and activities.

The day ended with everyone coming together to record an original ‘Youth Anthem’ – a powerful celebration of young people’s ideas, creativity and voices.

Calling all music teachers! 🎵

Start September Supported with Newham Music’s Music Network – a FREE afternoon of CPD, networking and practical ideas to help supercharge singing in your school.

What to expect:
- Over 2 hours of high quality CPD (attendance certificate provided)
- A Newham Lead School for Music shares ideas to elevate music in your school
- Preparatory support for free vocal opportunities for KS1-4
- Support surgery: find the resources, info and allies for the year ahead
- Meet and connect with music teacher colleagues from across Newham

Date: Thursday 17 September
Time: 1.30–6pm (Secondary colleagues join from 3.30pm)

Join us next Friday for an evening of music and food! 🎵

Local legends Flotsam Orchestra will perform in collaboration with Renewal’s Young Carers, as well as internationally acclaimed tabla player Himanish Goswami. Taking place in the Renewal Programme’s community garden, Renewal’s incredible in house chefs will also be cooking up some delicious treats!

What a night! ✨

On 3rd July, Newham Music's Musical Theatre Singing Club took to the stage with Come to the Cabaret – an evening packed with incredible performances celebrating everything from Golden Age classics to modern musical theatre favourites. 🎭🎶

Performed in the beautiful cabaret-style setting at Rosetta Arts to a sold-out audience, our talented young performers wowed the crowd with their confidence, storytelling and choreography. A huge shout out to NYMT for their fantastic choreography workshop, which helped bring the show to life!

We're so proud of every single performer for creating such a memorable evening. 💛👏

Join Newham Music and Cody Dock’s ecology experts in a day of creating soundscapes inspired by nature! 🍃

Discover Cody Dock’s urban nature reserve with expert ecologists, capture the sounds of wildlife and the river, then transform your recordings into immersive soundscapes using Logic.

Open to 16–25 year olds interested in music production, sound design and creative audio. Spaces are limited to just 10 per workshop, so register your interest early! Choose either 19 or 20 August (participants should attend one date only).

We were thrilled to deliver Newham Music’s very first international tour to Angers, France! 🇫🇷

From 29 June-4 July 2026, talented young musicians from our Bridging Sounds Orchestra, Jazz Collective and Youth Orchestra proudly represented Newham Music and the borough on the international stage for the first time ever.

Over six unforgettable days, they rehearsed, performed in beautiful historic venues, explored a new city, and visited attractions like Puy du Fou and Terra Botanica. A week full of inspiring performances, new friendships, memories and experiences. 🎻🎷🎺
