RIASS

08/10/2026

RIASS are very pleased to have been asked to host the relaunch of the Local Offer at our Engagement Hub at:
Redbridge Institute of Adult Education
Gaysham Avenue
Gants Hill
IG2 6TD

Please the attached poster for all the information

There are four sessions planned for children, young people, parents and carers to come along in person to:
Meet the team leading on the Local Offer
View the new Local Offer website
Share their views and feedback
Get involved in helping to shape the Local Offer going forward

The sessions will take place on:
Monday 12th October
Wednesday 14th October
Monday 19th October
Wednesday 21st October

10am to 4pm

Please note that these dates fall on our usual RIASS Drop-In days. Our Drop-In Service will continue to run as normal, and we have arranged the room so that there will still be a private and confidential space available for families who need to meet with us.

The Engagement Hub may be a little busier than usual on these dates, with more children, young people, parents and carers coming into the Hub. However, we hope this will create a friendly and positive atmosphere and provide a valuable opportunity for families to have their say on the Local Offer.

LBR have asked for RIASS to share the following

Coming Soon: The New SEND Local Offer Website

Redbridge Council is very excited to relaunch our SEND Local Offer website! It's important that families, young people, professionals, and schools are involved in the process of shaping our new website and we would love to hear from you. Please email us on [email protected] to register your interest and get involved with opportunities to test our new website throughout October and November.

What is the Local Offer?
The Children and Families Act requires every local council in England to publish a detailed directory of what help there is in their area for children and young people with special educational needs. This is called the ‘Local Offer’. More than simply a directory of services, the Local Offer must be a resource to help children, young people and their families plan their support needs.

You can leave a comment or feedback on the current Local Offer at any time on our engagement page: Redbridge Local Offer | Let's Talk Redbridge.

Today we are at the LBR Community Day at Hainault Fire Station. One of the busiest events we have been too. Speaking and providing information and advice to many, whilst the children and young people (and parents) enjoyed making book markers. An amazing and very busy day. Thank you Redbridge Council for organising such an amazing day.
Look out for information about the next event in South Woodford!
