The Energy Cafe is held in Redbridge Central Library on alternate Saturdays 2-3.45 pm. Find out more on how to save energy, grants for energy-saving improvements and combat climate change
We are in need of someone to help with sewing repairs on the sewing machine on Saturday.

Come along to the Repair café at Ilford Library on Saturday. We will try to mend your electricals, your sewing and jewellery repairs and other bits and bobs.

If we can’t mend it, please we make sure that items are recycled so the valuable components to be reused.

Our pink bin is available for each Repair Cafe for electrical recycling. First come, first served.

At full council last night we voted unanimously to declare a nature emergency. Next steps include writing a plan to set out the action the council will take - with input from local groups and residents.

This builds on work already undertaken in Redbridge to restore and protect nature including:
✅ doubling the size of Fairlop Waters with a new nature reserve
✅ significant investment in Hainault Forest
✅ £1m investment in our park lakes
✅ 65,000 new trees
✅ 850 adopted tree pits
✅ 4km of pesticide free pollinator pathways
✅ 250 restore nature pledges
✅ 20 rain gardens
✅ 20k sqm of grow zones

Thanks to all those groups and individuals who signed the petition and are already helping us tackle the nature emergency in Redbridge.
