On the first Saturday in August, friends, family and neighbours enjoyed an afternoon of fun, laughter and community spirit at the Clapham Park Summer Fair ☀️

Local people flocked to our Clapham Park community centre, The Cube, and were tempted by delicious food and drink offerings including complimentary ice creams!

The jam-packed afternoon had it all - games and entertainment, community stalls and live performances:
• A visit by Wild Science mobile animal farm – everyone loved meeting the pythons, boa constrictor, lizards and hissing cockroaches 🦎
• Superstar youngsters from Jack Seager School of Dance put on a sparkling performance 💃🏽
• A stand-out musical spectacle thanks to La Retraite students 🎶
• A Youth Poetry Workshop led by the super talented poet and Community Curator Binta Yade which was loved by budding wordsmiths 📔
• An impressive performance from the New Park Road Karate Club 🥋
• A Wellbeing Hub featuring relaxing massages and mindfulness podcasts run by The Hope Centre UK which was sold out all day 💚
• And a surprise singing performance by Ella Sunley, former MTVH Regional Community Coordinator 🎤

It was good to welcome the Mayor of Lambeth, Cllr Paul Valentine, and local councillors Verity McGivern and Martin Tiedman, who once again showed their ongoing support for the wonderful Clapham Park community.

The event was presented by the joint venture between MTVH and Vistry Group (via Countryside Partnerships). Our huge thanks to all those residents, volunteers, partners, performers and stallholders who came together to make this day one to remember. See you all again next year! 💛

Today we’re joining Resolve in marking anti-social behaviour (ASB) week

ASB can have a serious impact on people’s safety, wellbeing and quality of life.

What is ASB?�

ASB is behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to others. This can include things like:

• Threats, intimidation or harassment�
• Persistent noise or rowdy behaviour�
• Vandalism or damage to property�
• Drug use or criminal activity

What isn’t ASB?�

Some everyday issues may be frustrating but aren’t classed as ASB, such as:

• Babies crying�
• Cooking smells�
• One-off parties�
• Children playing�
• Minor neighbour disagreements

How to report ASB to MTVH�

We’re pleased to launch our refreshed Customer Voice Framework, built with input from nearly 1,000 residents.

The new framework has taken feedback from our residents and put it into action. It will strengthen how we:

- Listen to residents
- Turn feedback into action
- Create more inclusive opportunities to get involved

Through new Networks and Forums, residents will have clearer, more accessible ways to influence decisions at both local and strategic levels.

We're really pleased to be supporting The Bridge Notts CIC through Rushcliffe Borough Council's Community Wellbeing Fund, helping to deliver a community breakfast club in West Bridgford.

This brilliant initiative is creating a welcoming space for people to come together, reducing loneliness and strengthening community connections.

These sessions are already having a positive impact for residents, and we look forward to seeing the project grow and reach even more people in the community.

🏗️We recently marked a major milestone at 55 West, West Ealing, a building delivering 100% affordable homes, being delivered in partnership with HG Construction.

The scheme will provide 144 homes for London Living Rent, plus a communal roof garden and two flexible-use commercial units at ground level.

A big thank you to everyone involved on the day, and to the teams working behind the scenes to bring this project forward.

Thanks also to the Greater London Authority for their engagement on the event.
