rds the best possible outcome for all.
- Supporting individuals to find and prepare for work.
- Support to access volunteering opportunities.
- One-to-one support to develop CV's and build confidence.
- Access to accredited and unaccredited training and qualifications.
- IT 4 Work.
- Support to access work placements & taster days with a range of local employers.
- Help with agreeing reasonable adjustments and Access to Work.
- Re-Instate and partners, MIND in Bexley and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, have run Bexley's Recovery and Well-being Service since 2014, offering a range of innovative support services to local people experiencing mental ill-health. In 2018, Re-Instate introduced the Early Intervention project, with the aim of offering practical support at the earliest possible moment, before a drama becomes a crisis. Re-Instate's Community Hub operates a number of commercial activities for the benefit of people who use our services. Basils’ is Re-Instate's 5-star kitchen and refreshment area offering drinks and snacks to groups and people who use our facilities. Basil’s is run by people who use our services. We offer work placements that include the opportunity to study for accredited qualifications in Safer Food Handling and Customer Service. In April 2019, Re-Instate launched Spud-Buddies, pop-up food stall, offering healthy food to the local community. Spud-Buddies offers clients work experience in catering and customer care, preparing for open employment. Living Well is Re-Instate's project that supports people with learning disabilities in the London Borough of Bexley to access a range of co-produced and peer supported services. Piloted in 2018, we are looking to develop Living Well in 2019 and would welcome potential partners and funders. Re-Instate's Social Enterprise is based at the Community Hub and can often be a first step towards people achieving work goals. Engaging with the Social Enterprise gives people a sense of purpose, as well as a practical work experience in a wide variety of commercial practices. The development of work and social skills help to build confidence, and are a stepping-stone towards competitive employment. The work experience supports skills development, including:

➽ Customer service
➽ Health & Safety management
➽ Operations and work-flow
➽ Fulfillment and collation
➽ Admin and office skills
➽ Quality Control
➽ Team working

Whilst engaging with the Social Enterprise hub, people will be able to access appropriate courses to support employability in preparation for open employment. We offer local groups the opportunity to hire our space and facilities. Our space can be hired at £20 per hour plus VAT weekdays, £25 per hour plus VAT evenings (after 6pm) and £35 per hour plus VAT weekends. We can also provide drinks and snacks at an additional charge. For more information, please call Zoe on 01322 438 155 or email us [email protected]

Re-Instate welcomes volunteers. We have roles available in our Community Hub, Social Enterprise and Employment Service. Recent placements include nursing students wishing to gain experience in mental health or learning disabilities and young people on work experience. Re-Instate holds accreditation for working with young people on work experience aged 16-18. For further information please contact Simon Hart. Tel: 0203 645 1508 | [email protected]

Re-Instate's W-rap™ Project (Well-being, Recovery, Activity Parcels) is entirely co-produced and managed by people who use our services. The parcels are designed to provide at least five full-sized items associated with The New Economics Foundations’ Five Ways to Well-being to encourage people to incorporate these five actions into their lives. The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a set of evidence-based actions which promote well-being, outlined as; Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. The Five Ways to Well-being will remain an integral part of the decision making process when incorporating products into our range. Following a pilot at the Ladywell Unit at SLaM, where we developed three distinct packs, one for arrivals, one activity pack and one for going home, we were commissioned to provide the packs to all of SLaM's inpatients across their four main operating boroughs. Further funding from the London Community Foundation and the Wax Chandler's saw the project develop with young people, both as recipients and facilitators of the packs, and SLaM's Home Treatment Team. At the end of 2018, support from the London Borough of Bexley and Bexley CCG saw W-rap develop further to support older people isolated in their homes. If you would like to find out more information about W-rap, whether it's sponsoring items within the packs or commissioning the packs for your own service please e-mail [email protected]
