🤩Young People Building Kinder Communities This Hate Crime Awareness Week

We continue to promote a kind, inclusive and welcoming community through our Kindness Campaign during Hate Crime Awareness Week.
Our young people have developed a powerful Kindness Campaign Against Racial Hate, using a creative arts zine to share compelling messages, reflections and actions that encourage understanding, respect and positive change.

We encourage everyone to download, share and use this resource to help challenge racial hate and promote kindness in our communities.

Young, Employed and Empowered: What they did with their first pay check.🎉

This week, we celebrated loudly and proudly the incredible achievements of young people who completed their Summer Paid Jobs Programme. For many, this wasn’t just a job. It was their first role, their first pay cheque, and their first experience of being trusted with real responsibility.

And that matters. Because when young people are given tangible opportunities, the impact lasts a lifetime.

Throughout the summer, we watched young people grow in ways that go far beyond employment. They shared how stepping into the workplace helped them:

• Break cycles of social anxiety
• Develop new life skills
• Improve time management
• Reduce procrastination
• Build confidence for the future

A Special Congratulations: David’s Story
One of the standout moments of our celebration was recognising David (18), who has now been offered a permanent role at the company where he completed his work placement.

His journey is a powerful reminder of what happens when young people are given space to shine. David showed commitment, dedication, and a willingness to learn and the company saw it. His success is not just personal; it’s a testament to what youth-centred programmes.

You can hear David’s reflections, alongside other inspiring journeys, on our YouTube channel. They share what this opportunity meant to them, how it changed their outlook, and yes what they did with their first pay cheque.
