Llandudno Rotary members and friends had a wonderful day at the Deganwy Prom day on 30 May raising over £570 for local good causes.

They grew and sold some fabulous plants and baked delicious cakes and scones which went down a treat with the great turn out of people of all ages.

It was a wonderful example of the Rotary motto, “service above self” in action.

The Community Chest run by the club offers the chance for a handful of local organisations who are making a difference in the community to apply for grants. Applications from the £2000 chest are accepted from organisations in Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay, Deganwy, Llandudno Junction and Glan Conwy.

We invite applications throughout May, June, and July each year, with the Awards being decided and paid out during August. For more information and a link to the application form see Rotary Club of Llandudno

It’s always easier to run a great football training session with the right kit!

Llandudno Rotary President, Sarah Leister-burgess, was delighted to present Coach Graham Woodyatt and the Llandudno Football Club Under-13s with footballs, bibs, and bags for the new season.

The team were thrilled with the donation, which will make both training and match days run even more smoothly as the season gets underway.
