Well, the time has come to find some perfect homes for 3 kittens who are ready for their next big adventure!🐾

These little bundles of energy were born 8 weeks ago after their pregnant mum came into our care and was midwifed by one of our amazing fosterers ❤

We have 1 female and two males looking for their purrrfect home 😍

The little girl may be the smallest, but is also the bravest. She’s friendly, continuously adventurous but already greatly enjoys a free lap to nestle down onto if one is available. That said, she's so busy its proved surprisingly challenging to get an in-focus picture of her!

Next up, is the smaller of the two boys. Definitely the most vocal of the three and has learnt pretty quickly that this can be advantageous when wanting treats or attention! He likes being made a fuss of, but likes to decide when and where he will grace you with his presence, usually if you are happy to be some type of human climbing frame!

Finally, is the largest of the three. Definitely a Mummy's boy, and Mum seems to have quite the soft spot for him. Like his brother, he enjoys a good climb but with the ultimate aim being to find somewhere quiet and cozy he can curl up and have a well deserved nap! It should be noted he is without fail, also the last to get up in the morning, so early risers please set your expectations accordingly!:)

All three kittens have been health checked, microchipped and had their first vaccinations.

If you think you could provide that special home for any of these characters, please get in contact with us at [email protected] or call us on 01492 584061.

🚐🐾 HELP KEEP OUR MOBILE VET CLINIC READY TO GO!

We’re looking for a reliable, practical and organised Vehicle & Hub Maintenance Coordinator to help keep our RSPCA mobile veterinary welfare clinic safe, clean and ready to serve communities across North Wales.

The role includes routine vehicle checks, making sure the clinic is fuelled and ready, monitoring servicing and repairs, cleaning and disinfecting the vehicle after each day, and reconciling and banking clinic cash takings.

A clean driver’s license and confident in driving a 3.5 ton (B category license) will be essential.

It may happen behind the scenes, but it makes a real difference: without this work, our mobile clinic can’t reach the animals and owners who need us.

💙 HELP KEEP OUR MOBILE VET CLINIC ON THE ROAD! 🐾

We’re recruiting a Volunteer & Service Administrator to help our RSPCA mobile veterinary welfare clinic reach communities across North Wales.

You’ll recruit, welcome, train and support the volunteers who make our service possible — helping them feel confident, valued and part of the team.

This is a hands-on role, too. When needed, you’ll step in to keep the clinic running which might include driving the mobile clinic, covering reception, welcoming clients, taking payments or helping the vet.

📍 North Wales |
💷 £23,751 per year, depending on experience
📄 12-month fixed-term contract
🚐 Full, clean Category B licence and confidence driving a 3.5-tonne Luton-type vehicle essential.

🐾 See the world while you work...or at least a little more of North Wales! 🐾

PART-TIME VETERINARY SURGEON · RSPCA NORTH WALES MOBILE VETERINARY WELFARE CLINIC

Fancy a change of scenery?

Could you use your veterinary skills to make a real difference to animals and the people who love them?

Our RSPCA mobile veterinary clinic takes essential care into communities across North Wales, supporting owners who may otherwise struggle to afford treatment for their pets.

We’re looking for a compassionate, practical Veterinary Surgeon for a part-time role (approximately 2.5 or 3 days a week, to be agreed). The work is hands-on and relationship-based consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics and appropriate non-surgical treatment, delivered with empathy and sound clinical judgement.

You’ll be the vet on the clinic during your sessions, but you’ll work alongside another part-time vet and have a colleague to discuss cases with.

If community work, animal welfare and helping people from all walks of life appeal to you, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours: 2.5 or 3 days per week, to be agreed. RCVS registration is essential; previous small-animal experience is desirable. Holiday entitlement, no weekend working, normal office hours and no out of hours requirement. Salary: Between £25,006 to £30,008.

We are inviting applications to give a home to handsome Oscar, a neutered beautiful tabby cat we believe to be around 5 years old.

Oscar had a really tough and frightening start to his life and came to us fearful and worried about what people might do to him. Happily after a few weeks with us at our welfare clinic, we’re now beginning to see this handsome boy’s desire to leave the fear and worry behind and embrace the chance of finding his new forever home where he can feel safe and loved. His past will always be part of his life, and he can still get fearful at times, but with the right home, this will get less and less as he learns to trust and love again. For now, he likes to choose when and where he gives his affection, which he has lots to give!

To give him the best chance to continue his recovery, Oscar needs to be the only cat in the house. He has spent time around dogs at close quarters in our clinic and seemed generally unperturbed by them but liked to keep his distance. Oscar also needs a home with no children (as a result of his previous experience) and a patient owner who will continue to support him and give him space to continue decompressing and learning to trust again. He’s not an indoor only cat and would like to go outside, so a garden or yard where he can safely explore his new home would be ideal. Oscar is still learning to play again but we’ve already seen some promising 'zoomie' episodes and would expect this to increase as he learns to trust humans again.

If you think you have the special qualities needed to give this handsome boy the special home he needs, we’d love to hear from you by messaging us here ❤️

Please could everyone keep an eye out for this beautiful little bean, Pebbles 💙

Pebbles is an elderly little lady who is deaf, blind and suffers from severe arthritis. She has gone missing today in the Garndolbenmaen area, and her 92-year-old owner is desperately worried.

Pebbles is microchipped, and the local vets and dog warden have all been informed.

If you have seen her, or have any information, please get in touch as soon as possible. Every share could help bring Pebbles safely home 🐾

🧡 Meet Ginge 🧡

This handsome old ginger boy’s story could have ended very differently…

North Wales Locksmiths contacted us after discovering a cat going in and out of a property through a cat flap. Concerned for his safety, they didn’t want to board the house up with him trapped inside — or leave him locked outside with nowhere to go.

Kelly went straight over to help 🚙💨💙

When scanned, Ginge’s microchip was registered to a gentleman who had reported him missing… 15 years ago. Sadly, the phone number was no longer active, so Kelly visited the address on the chip, where new owners explained that the previous owner had moved into a nursing home.

After knocking on several nearby doors, Kelly eventually tracked down the nursing home and was able to contact the owner’s daughter. Unfortunately, she wasn’t in a position to take Ginge in and signed him over into our care.

The following day, North Wales Locksmiths called again. Another man had been trying to reach us — the son of the lady who had actually cared for Ginge for the last 15 years. Tragically, she had recently passed away, but for the past two years he had continued visiting every day to feed Ginge after hearing that “the RSPCA lady” had collected him.

It was clear he truly cared for Ginge, but he knew his own circumstances wouldn’t give this elderly boy the peaceful life he deserved.

And now… Ginge has found exactly that🧡

At 20 years old, Ginge is now settling into his retirement home with the wonderful Debbie, who has opened her heart and home to him.

Very few people would take on a 20-year-old cat, but thanks to Debbie, Ginge can now enjoy his golden years safe, warm and loved 😻

Thank you to everyone who helped this special old boy along the way🐾

💙 We work everyday to help animals like Ginge. If you would like to support us to reach more animals that need our help, please consider donating today at https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/30041 #!/

💙A little rescue story from Llandudno this week 💙

We were contacted by staff at Llandudno General Hospital about a gull who was being picked on by others and struggling to get away. Kelly headed straight out, safely caught him and took him for a vet check, thankfully apart from the head wounds he was otherwise in good health.

After a week of rest, good food and quiet recovery with Kelly, he found his strength again. Today he was released back to the wild at the beautiful RSPB reserve by the Conwy estuary — a safe place to stretch his wings and settle back into the rhythm of gull life.

Thank you to the member of hospital staff who took the time to call. Small acts of kindness make all the difference for animals in need 💙

Did you know……… RSPCA Aberconwy is an Independent Charity that raises money to fund and operate affordable services for local pet owners?
We want to clear up a myth:
RSPCA Aberconwy is an independent branch of the RSPCA. This means that while we adhere to the high standards of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, we are financially and operationallyindependent.
❌ We are NOT funded by the National RSPCA whose focus is the most severe cases of animal cruelty; lobbying and animal welfare policies ❌ We are NOT part of Bryn-y-Maen- who provide shelter and care for serious cases of cruelty and neglect and are funded and managed by National RSPCA ❌ We do DO NOT receive government funding

✅ All our efforts are focused on the welfare of local animals ✅ We have a direct community impact as a safety net for pets and owners ✅ We are responsible for raising every penny we spend ✅ We rely on local volunteers ✅ When you donate to our shops, buy from our shops and donate at our local events, 100% stays in Aberconwy for local animals in need ✅ There is so much more we want to tackle but limited by the level of funds we can raise ✅

🧶 A Shout‑Out to Our Wonderful Community

We’re lucky to have a generous lady who knits soft, cosy blankets for the comfort of our animals in care. Her handmade blankets bring warmth and reassurance to those who need a little extra care while they’re with us.

But she’s now running very short of wool — and we’d love to help her keep those needles clicking!

If you or anyone you know have unwanted wool tucked away, please drop it off at the clinic during opening hours:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Every ball of wool helps create another blanket — and another moment of comfort for an animal in need 💙

As a small, separately registered charity from the National RSPCA, we are entirely responsible for raising our own funds to continue helping animals in our community. Every donation, Facebook share and act of support helps us respond when local animals need help.

Thank you for standing with us — and with the animals who need us most 💙
