🎲✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT – LISBURN GAMING CLUB ✨🎲

This week we are shining a light on Lisburn Gaming Club — one of the largest and longest-running tabletop gaming clubs in Northern Ireland! 👏

Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or simply curious to try something new, the club offers a welcoming and friendly environment for all. 🧙‍♂️🎮

🛡️ Games played include:
⚔️ Warhammer 40k
🏈 Blood Bowl
🚀 X-Wing
👑 Age of Sigmar
🕯️ Trench Crusade
🐉 Dungeons & Dragons
🦇 Vampire the Masquerade
🎲 Plus a wide range of board games and roleplay games!

👥 The club is open to anyone with an interest in tabletop or roleplay gaming, with members currently ranging from age 16 right through to their late 70s!
👨‍👩‍👧 Under 16s are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

📍 Meet-ups take place at LaganView every:
🗓️ Saturday | ⏰ 9am – 6pm
🌙 Plus one Friday evening session each month until 11pm

💷 Costs:
🎟️ £4 for Saturday sessions

This week, we are delighted to shine a light on one of the Cedar Foundation Groups, Cedar Connections, an ABI service group that meets every Wednesday here at LaganView. 💙

Participants enjoy a wide range of activities including arts & crafts, yoga, chair dancing, mindfulness, and much more in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

ABI Connections provides invaluable support for adults living with an acquired brain injury (ABI), helping people build friendships, improve well-being, and feel connected through community-based activities across the region.

We, at LaganView, are delighted to be their chosen venue and would like to thank the team for the fantastic and invaluable service they provide to the community. 🌟

It was an incredible event celebrating the programme’s achievements to date and the amazing impact being made within local communities 💙 Its success can truly be attributed to the fact that it is a completely community-led project, supporting and benefiting local children and families every day 👏

💚 Mental Health & Wellbeing Week💚

This week is a great reminder to take a little time out for yourself each day — whether that’s going for a walk, catching up with a friend, taking a quiet coffee break, or simply stepping away to reset for a few minutes.

Here at The Resurgam Trust and Laganview Enterprise Centre staff are doing exactly that by taking the opportunity to join together for a 20–25 minute walk along the Highway to Health Routes. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

It’s a chance to step away from the desk, get some fresh air, recharge, and enjoy a chat with colleagues along the way. Sometimes the smallest breaks can make the biggest difference to our wellbeing.

Remember — looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.

✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT ✨

This week we’re shining a light on TinyLife, who regularly use LaganView for their specialist baby massage sessions accredited by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAMS) and their ‘TinyTime’ Parent and Child Group facilitated by their Family Support Officers.

It’s fantastic to see TinyLife creating opportunities for support and connection within our community. Thank you for the valuable work you do 💙

We’re proud to have such a wide range of organisations and community groups making use of our centre each week.

Parents can self-refer through the TinyLife website. Eligibility includes babies born before 37 weeks or babies who have spent time in neonatal care.

Did you know the Resurgam Community Fridge is based in LaganView?

They are open every Wednesday and Saturday from 11am.

🕘 Please arrive from 9am onwards to collect your ticket
👥 Visitors are called in groups of 5
🛍️ Please bring no more than 2 bags, so there’s enough for everyone

♻️ They are a food waste initiative, not a food bank—so there’s no criteria to meet. Everyone is welcome!
