This time last year we acquired the wonderful site of Beer Mill. Beer Mill is a 120 acre wildlife paradise in West Devon. Through the mechanism of crowd funder and generous philanthropic donations we were able to raise the funds to buy Beer Mill and save it from return to intensive agriculture or developmentBeer Mill is now owned by Keep It Wild a community interest company and preserved for nature. It is regularly visited by school groups and we will soon start to run tours there too.

Great fun surveying for wildlife in the long meadow grasses at Beer Mill with yr5 and yr6 students from Clawton Primary School this July.

Tom shares: “For many students at Clawton they have grown up alongside Beer Mill, enjoying watching the site change through the years and seasons - these kids are Rewilding experts! Have a great summer holiday break Clawton!”

Lucky for all the other residents at that we have so many beavers on site. By creating pools, raising the water table and making wetlands they have created the ideal conditions for so many other species to survive in this long hot summer.
