13th Century origins
The Forbury Chapel has been in use by residents and visitors to Leominster since 1280, for purposes ranging from a place of worship, a school, a theatre, a dance studio and offices! It is still a vibrant and popular community venue available for hire, with a modern interior featuring unique historical features, including intricate carved faces and a hidden scissor beam roof. Restoration work and heritage research is taking place in 2018/19 to develop information resources to bring the history of this ancient building alive for local residents and visitors.
