The dust has settled on a fantastic weekend of National Qualifiers!

Saturday saw Leominster Short Mat Bowling Club’s Bryan Watkins & John Mills win all of their games in a round robin format with nine teams in total competing for a chance at Nationals in March. Ross-on-Wye Bowling Club’s Dave Watkins & Ian Roe finished in second with the mixed club team of Clive Matthews & Nic Lloyd (Gorsley and Leominster) taking third!

Fourteen teams competed in Sunday’s National Pairs Qualifier that saw Ross and Leominster grandad/grandson duo of Tony Vitale & Luke Rawlings book their place at nationals, beating Dave Watkins & Ian Roe 9-4 after a great run to the final. The Gorsley/Lea duo of Clive Matthews & Steve Kite took third with Leominster’s Dawn Cox & June Green in fourth.

Well done to all teams on a great weekend with a fantastic number of entries across the board this season! Many thanks to Becci Cox for organising and Ian Roe for running the day on Sunday.
