☀️ WHAT A SUMMER! ☀️
As sad as we are to say goodbye to summer, we can’t help but look back and smile at just how much we packed into it! 💛
From beach days and surfing to paddleboarding, Stay & Plays, Dance Camp and Family Fun Days, it’s safe to say it’s been a VERY busy few months at Mae Murray Foundation! 🌊🏄♀️🎨
Just some of our summer highlights included…
🌊 3 Cranfield Fun Days, including supported dipping
☀️ 5 Groomsport Fun Days
🏄 5 Surf Days at Portrush
🏄♀️ 6 Surf Days at Benone
🛶 4 Fun Days with paddleboarding at Tyrella, our newest inclusive beach!
We also held 8 All Ability Family Fun Days across Ballyronan Marina, Crumlin Leisure Centre, Ballyclare, Larne Market Yard, Mussenden Temple, Ballycopeland Windmill and Lisburn, with our Lisburn Family Fun Day delivered in partnership with Sensability, and a Teens Silent Disco in partnership with Antrim & Newtownabbey borough council🎉
And we didn’t stop there!
We had 3 weeks of Stay & Plays at Antrim Forum, Mossley Pavilion and Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre, supported by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, PLUS an incredible week of Dance Camp with Open Arts! 💃🎶
🌟 One HUGE standout highlight of the summer has to be our very first MMF Family Holiday! 🌟
We headed off to the Share Centre in Lisnaskea for a very special MMF first, bringing families together for our MMF family holiday filled with fun, new experiences and some brilliant memories. It was such a special milestone for MMF and definitely one of those moments from this summer that we won’t forget! 💛
To say it’s been a busy summer would be an understatement! 😅
None of it would have been possible without our incredible staff, volunteers, members, families, funders and partners who showed up, got involved and helped make every event what it was. A HUGE thank you to every single person who was part of our summer. 💛
We’ve made a lot of memories, had plenty of laughs and probably accumulated enough sand to create our own beach! 🏖️
Summer may be over… but we’re definitely not finished yet! ✨
