The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of the valley, it was full of bones, he led me among them, and behold, there were many on the surface of the valley, and behold they were very dry.

This tells us that Israel's faith in the Lord was cold and dry, the passage goes on to ask can these people bones live? Ezekiel responded "Lord God you know"
Maybe this is a bit like our faith, cold and dry, only the Lord God knows if it can live again.
Ezekiel goes on to follow the Lord's instructions, and behold the dry bones become alive again.
The Lord God is in control of all things, we just have to follow his instructions. These instructions can only be found in his word.

"pray without ceasing" verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which simply states: "Pray without ceasing".
It is part of a short, famous sequence of instructions written by the apostle Paul:
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18)
What It Means
• Not nonstop talking: It does not mean staying on your knees or speaking words 24 hours a day.
• A heart posture: It means keeping an ongoing, open conversation with God and an inner awareness of His presence throughout your normal daily activities.
• Quick turning to God: It means instantly turning your thoughts, worries, or sudden needs into a brief silent prayer as they happen during your day.

When was the last time you prayed was it the last time you were in church and when was that?
My challenge to you is to create a time of prayer for yourself and start pouring out your heart to the Lord.

1 John 6-7
If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his son cleanses is from all sin.

Today John asks a question, are you walking in the light or the darkness? he points out that some say they have fellowship with Christ but walk in darkness lie and do not practice truth.
Are you walking in darkness?
Only when you walk in the light with Jesus will his blood cleanse you from all sin.
So which one are you? You walk in fellowship but do you walk in lies or truth?

Genesis 3:4
But the serpent said to the woman, you will not surly die.
Sometimes we can listen to the serpent, and mistake what God has really said to us. This is what happens when we think we know the Bible stories, we add bits in that are not there. It takes us to read the Bible and know it for ourselves, not just what others say.
I challenge each of you to read Genesis chapter 3 this week.
There was a song I heard, "There's dust on our Bibles, brand new I phone, and we wonder why we feel this way. "

Nehemiah 9:27: "Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven..."

We find in these verses that God has given his people over to there enemies because they had forgotten God and his ways, this is a reminder to us that if we go our own way we will be handed over, and we will suffer. But there is hope if we cry out to the Lord for forgiveness he will deliver us for our enemy. Maybe we are in these times of suffering now? maybe now is the time to cry to the Lord? for he will not leave us or forsake us.

2 Timothy 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom.

Sometimes I look at problems out of the corner of my eye and pretend they are not there, I choose to ignore them, and they grow more serious because of my inattention, whether they are big or small. I pray we accept the challenges with a willing heart, and the we would attract the problems before they attack us, sometimes we fail, but we have help in Christ to accept these failures, and try again that we would achieve worthy goals and change for the better.

Joshua 10:25
And Joshua said to them, do not be afraid or dismayed; be strong and courageous. For the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.

Sometimes we can become despondent and the outlook is gray and unsure, we feel that we have no hope, but such a feeling of hopelessness is only justified when we don't have the saving Grace of Christ. This is certainly not true because we do have hope in Christ that saves us from the sting of death.
So today remember there is hope in Christ, ask him to strengthen you to face the challenges ahead.
