The Government has launched Be Ready, a new three-year campaign to help people take simple, practical steps to prepare for emergencies and periods of disruption. The campaign focuses on everyday situations such as severe weather, flooding, power cuts and disruption to essential services, and is not linked to any specific threat or increased risk.

The first phase of the campaign encourages eligible residents to sign up to the Priority Services Register (PSR), a free service that helps gas, electricity and water companies identify customers who may need extra support during service interruptions. Many people are eligible, including older people, those with disabilities or long-term health conditions, and families with young children.

The centre is back open 🚪

Thanks for your patience during this time of essential upgrades 😀

The community centre will be CLOSED on Monday 5th October and Tuesday 6th October for essential maintenance.

This also means the blood testing clinic (phlebotomy) is also closed and will be back to normal hours Wednesday 7th October.

The works are beginning tomorrow (2nd October) but there will be no access to the centre through the front door.

Therefore if you’re attending the bloods clinic you will be shown a different entrance but if you do have accessibility requirements we suggest not attending as this may cause you difficulty.

The blood testing clinic is open at the hospital as usual.

Thanks for your understanding, as a charity we strive to maintain the building to a high standard and we are upgrading our ramp/corridor flooring. 🏠
