Our Eilish, trying on a purchase from our craft stall at yesterday’s Church Fete. The necklace was handmade by Sheila from cotton material, polystyrene beads and metal beads. So light to wear.
The weather was gorgeous the crowds came and once again money was raised for St. Mary’s Church in Ivinghoe. There were children’s races and doggy sausage racing, lots of fun.
We sold cakes and crafts all afternoon and raised £181.40 to be split between our charities; Hope after Harm and the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice. Thanks to all our helpers and the lovely customers we served.

Always good to keep fit.

Our mystery trip for Thursday’s meeting was a success despite the weather forecast. We managed to stay dry! Only the drivers knew where we were heading. Winslow was our destination. We met in the car park and only a short walk away, hidden from view was this Baptist meeting house dating from 17C. Hermione gave us a very interesting short talk about its history.
Then we were welcomed back to Legends for cheese for the local Farm Deli and wine from Waddesden served by its head sommelier. A lovely evening.

We spent a perfect afternoon fundraising for Hope after Harm yesterday. This is a local charity that we were asked to help provide tea and cake for.
We’d like to thank all those that made cakes and attended: most of all I need to mention my lovely team of ladies who worked tirelessly all afternoon making sure everyone had plenty to eat and drink.
The afternoon raised over£1000 and what an amazing way to raise that much!
