Ayrshire Touring Motorcycle Club

Ayrshire Touring Motorcycle Club Not just a club, but your next great adventure. We were founded in 1990 and to this day we still meet up at 7.30pm every first and third Wednesday of the month.

From the winding roads of the Ayrshire coast to the peaks of the Alps, we’re a community of riders dedicated to the open road. When a fifth Wednesday occurs, we use one day or night from this week as a social event. We use Dreghorn Community Centre near Irvine, as our venue and have a range of members including learners, advanced riders, sports and cruisers, females and non-riders with an interest in and the sport. We currently have over 30 members.

Today a few of us happy wanders took advantage of heading to Harry's at Erskine Hospital for riders fuel at this lovely little establishment. All fueled up it was motorcycle shopping time which we decided to head over the Erskine Bridge and heading for Clydebank and Clyde Tunnel and finally to Hillington for . Don't worry Fiona and Claire they didn't buy new bikes........well not that I know of. Infinity motorcycles and Sportsbike Shop done so why not fire down to Largs for a cuppa via Greenock and back roads to Largs. What a great road for bikes. Finally up the road to wash the beast. Thanks for the day.

Tonight, we opened our doors and welcomed Sophie and Lee (apologies if its spelt the other way) from Dreghorn Gala Group, who we presented a massive cheque to for the funds we raised at this years Dreghorn Gala. We were happy to raise £300 from running a bottle stall tombola, all for the funds to be kept for the Gala Group for next year's event. I know I had a fantastic day and were already thinking what to do for next year. Great community cause.

Well if everyone else is.

Well if everyone else is.

Tomorrow is International Ride to Work Day! 🏍️ 🛵

Celebrating the benefits of commuting on two wheels — helping reduce congestion, ease parking, and make everyday travel more efficient.

Also a good reminder for all road users to look out for motorcyclists and help keep our roads safe.

Who is riding to work tomorrow? …drop a photo in the comments 😀

Last week saw a couple of our Committee Members taking to the open roads and departing from our trusty clubhouse and braving the backroads to Largs, heading through the picturesque scenery of rolling hills, chipshops and amusement arcades, before continuing on to Greenock.

As the travellers continued onwards, they found themselves at Gourock Ferry Terminal, so without further adoo they boarded The Sound of Scarba ferry heading to sunny Dunoon.

After that lovely smooth crossing, our adventurers found comfort on the A815 past Loch Eck to Ardnagowan then taking in The Rest and Be Thankfull.

With all this done the intrepid two made haste to Helensburgh where they just couldn't go on any further so had to take comfort in the form of a chippie tea. (Other teas are available. Were a club that love our food, sweet treats and hot drinks)

All fed and watered our misfits decided to call it a day and departed Helensburgh for the journey back home over the Erskine Bridge and local roads back to the Shire (Ayrshire......Just incase you thought these guys were Hobbits). Safe and secure, back home, and social media all recorded. Another good day for 2 wheels adventures. Well done chaps. Keep up the good work.

This week a few of out patrons decided to grab a fantastic deal at The Brae, in our local Dreghorn Community, to sample BOGOF (Buy one get one free) burger night (Tuesdays), and by the looks of it they stayed for desert. Great company, laughter and there was some discussion of motorbikes. Well done for sharing the time with each other and supporting the community. The Brae Dreghorn Ayrshire Touring Motorcycle Club

Today saw some of our members setting up a tent at the Dreghorn Gala 2026, raising funds for Dreghorn events as we have our clubhouse there and supporting local. This was a fun event and gave us more insight into the town. Well done for all who came along and the support we got from the community.
